Oche — Restaurant in Amsterdam

UPDATE:

The owners of the place apologised profusely via email and offered us a free visit with complimentary drinks. We decided to take them up on their offer, and the owner greeted us personally and made sure we were well taken care of. They for sure made up for not the best first experience, and handled the situation very well.

Horrible experience with the staff!!!!

We used a photobooth and only after paying it turned out it was broken. Upon pointing that out to the staff and that it didn’t have any indication of being broken, the waitress laughed at us saying “oh haha it’s broken guys”, so we asked to call the manager over. When the manager came she just kept arguing, laughing, and mocking, and she stated she couldn’t do anything because “it’s a different company” (even though the photobooth is inside the place) and that she “put a chair in front of it” (which actually was next to it) to indicate it was broken (which is just laughable as it wasn’t even blocking the entrance). They didn’t make any effort to return the money as well.

Before that, the manager was also rude when we reported the game wasn’t functioning correctly and was very unhelpful.

Overall, a date night turned into a horrible experience thanks to the staff. In the future I’d suggest paying more attention to who you’re hiring, as we (and presumably loads of other people)...

We visited as a party of 8 and were treated poorly as soon as we walked in.

The hostess would not let my two friends use the W.C. while she looked up the reservation we had made. Once it was verified we were allowed and then seated.

The server we had was equally as bad. We asked for water multiple times and he never brought any, except for the original two given for a party of our size. Several alcoholic drink orders were incorrect. He told us we could only order pizzas, no mains or appetizers … on a Saturday night in Amsterdam. (Mind you, the sliders are their signature meal and what we were most excited for)

Our food came out quick and was delicious but we had one in our party that had to wait longer due to the server putting in the wrong pizza order.

We wanted to split the check, and was told it was fine; when the check arrived he would not split it up and was absent-minded when we asked again.

Overall terrible experience. I’m not sure if it was because we were Americans or not. Seemed like a local spot. Will...

I recently attended a work party at Oche. The venue itself was really nice and had a fun, relaxed atmosphere. It has many dart boards making it easy to catch a few games.

One of the highlights of the evening was the food and drinks. The food was really good and there was a good selection of drinks available. The service was also fast, which was much appreciated given the size of our group.

The staff at Oche were all very friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure our party was a success. They were always available to answer questions and were quick to refill drinks or bring out more food.

In addition to being a fun venue with good food and drinks, Oche was also very clean. This is always appreciated and made the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, I had a great experience at Oche and would highly recommend it for a work party or other group event. The venue is nice, the food and drinks are good, and the staff are friendly...
