American grill restaurant & cafe — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Well where do I start... still unsure of the actually name of this restaurant..it says Rain on the outside, however all the napkins had Royal written on them. The service. What service? We waited thirty minutes for our drinks to arrive, only for all of our 5.50 Euro Pepsi’s to come out flat. That flat you could see the flatness from the other side of the restaurant. When we finally got the attention of THREE of the servers, who kept not making eye contact, it took a further fifteen minutes for them to replace them. The food did come on time and at least it was hot...and that’s where the positive comments end... both myself and my friend ordered different chicken dishes, a burrito and a quesadilla. They were exactly the same however charged 3 euros extra, for the burrito, to roll the tortilla into a wrap rather than fold it in half. I don’t think they even knew what a quesadilla was to be honest, as what they served me 100% wasn’t one! You also had to pay about 4 Euros extra for any sides for the dishes. I made yet another mistake of ordering rice which was crunchy.... Lastly, the severs started taking away plates from our table even though some people had not finished yet, which I consider rude at my own dinner table let alone at...

Went there for dinner last night. Group of three. We were sat outside, which was a great spot to sight see. The waiter took quite a while to take our order, the food took even longer to arrive. We got seated at 8:25 and didn’t get food till 9:30. As we sat and waited for food, they were still seating other customers, no one came to check or offer anything; appetizers something to eat as we waited. Tired and hungry we waited on. The cocktails we ordered were watered down. The food arrived without utensils and the sides (ie: fries and salad that it said it would come with) waited some more. When the utensils arrived we dug in and hoped the sides we ordered would come. The waitress gave us the wrong order of sides, we took it anyway, not wanting to wait any longer. Paid and left.

For the amount that we spent on this meal, I’d have expected to get better service. I do not recommend this restaurant. The whole area had a variety of choices, I suggest to walk further down the road hopefully, for...

The service was kinda slow, while there were like 3 or 4 waiters for +- 10 filled tables. Nevertheless, the personnel was very friendly, since they even brought my coat a beer. This can of course happen, but it seemed more like a courtesy of the house, since a couple more tables received shards for good luck as well. Other ways the personnel wants to make you feel enriched is by bringing appetizer together with the main course. This fills the table in such a way that you don't know where to start. Nevertheless, the only downside was the food, which was quite mediocre at best, since the stew was more like a soup and the schnitzel got confused with the bottom of a shoe. Next to that, they say that practice makes perfect. However, the steak was still too done after their second try. Maybe the third time is the charm. Lastly, it seems that there are more skeletons in the closet, because the smell in the hallway towards the toilets did not remind me of...
