Restaurant is very well located, in a secluded part of the park and really relaxed atmosphere. Waiters are quite nice. Two stars go to these.
Unfortunately, the food doesnt live up to the expectations. Portions are minuscule, price is very high for what you get, and I don’t think the quality makes up for it. The things I tried were very simple, but unfortunately bland and not very tasty. I simply cannot find a justification for the prices that are charged. One example is the 2.5 euros for a minuscule bread that didnt even come with any sides (butter, olives, olive oil, or something else) and that tasted exactly what you get from the supermarket.
Overall not impressed at all and they need to...
Read moreFriendly and dog friendly. Good service. High quality food. Value for money. Not your typical, mediocre Amsterdam con job, but honest food with a foodie twist. More a restaurant culinary experience than a tapas bar.
Sea bass tartare on half lime: sublime. Cod croquettes: perfection on a plate. Shrimp tostada: delicious & highly flavoured but overly salted. Scotch egg: a revelation. Limited selection of good wines per glass. "Many wines per bottle" is advertised on the menu, but there was unfortunately actually only one other bottle than the house wines on offer. Better selection of (alcohol free) beers.
We are extremely happy to have a place like this in Amsterdam-West and we will...

The place is small owned by the creators of parrallel, and if you struggle to get a booking there, you can have a taste of their menu here. About 6 snacks and 7 fabulous sharing plates are on offer. Highly recommend the duck canelon and the iberico tacos. Unbelieveable. Excellent wine menu too, reasonably priced, but chosen by someone who likes and knows wine. Excellent service. They dont take bookings so go now while they are...
