Pink Beach by WONDR — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This place is overhyped. The food was great and the atmosphere was alright but the customer service was terrible. No one really looked like they wanted to be there.

When we ordered we didn’t receive an order and we had to continuously follow up on it. I had counted 5 times before we actually received that missing order that took nearly an hour to receive and it was only sweet potato’s fries. This was similar to our drink orders that was not received until we had to follow up 2/3 times. There was no interest from the staff whether we wanted anymore drinks since we did purchase a bottomless brunch so we ended up just going to the bar and ask for them specifically. We also expected to have the option for all alcoholic drinks like what they do at ‘Turtle Bay’ but cocktails were not included at all. The only drinks that was bottomless was soft drinks, wine, and coffee drinks.

My parents came along as a separate group and they had a similar experience. One experience that stood out was that they ordered 4 of the same food but when they came only 3 was given out. My parents asked that they asked for 4 but the waiter said that they did not order 4 but 3. They were so rude saying this to my parents as if they were in the wrong when it was the waiter that made the mistake.

You know you're here for Instagram pics. And that's 1000% what it's here for. But surprisingly, the food and drinks are still pretty good.

The drinks here are poured lightly to make sure the gigantic groups of women don't get too rowdy with the photo spots. So keep that in mind.

The food portions are smaller but delicious. No complaints about any of the food besides we left satiated but not "full".

Both are presented really well and make for perfect photos. I really really love some of the shots I got here - even more than the attached Wondr place.

Staff is used to people taking photos all over, and they were asked (and helped) people take group selfies over and over. They're all dressed to the pink theme and very friendly but also efficient. They're clearly used to being swamped and getting tables in and out as quickly as possible.

We had a great time and it led to a ton of really memorable photos.

The pay-for electronic photobooth in the corner was out of service.

It’s a very beautiful place, cozy atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and nice. But this place is only nice to take pictures. If your goal is to have a nice food and drinks than I don’t think that’s the right place to go. Food and drinks menu is extremely limited and very overpriced. I got nachos (see the picture) for €9,50 and it was the worse nachos I had in my whole life. The guacamole didn’t taste like avocado. It didn’t take like anything actually. It didn’t even had guacamole texture. I’m South American I know what a good guacamole taste like and it’s kinda offensive to call that green stuff guacamole. There wasn’t even salsa on it, just chopped tomatoes. So it was extremely flavorless! I also got a gin&tonic for €9,50 which is not expensive for a gin&tonic at all BUT again it was extremely flavorless!!!!! It didn’t taste like gin or anything! It was just colored water with ice and marshmallows on top. I’m only giving this many stars because of the staff. They were all extremely nice and friendly and welcoming.
