We had a very good lunch at PIQNIQ on Lindengracht during our recent visit to Amsterdam. Opening hours 9am to 5pm daily. Here you find indoor and outdoor seating. Decor is modest and simple, seating area is casual and comfortable. Service was polite and timely. Lunch menu includes sections of soups, salads, sandwiches and other healthy bites. You choose (2, 3 or 4) items. During our lunch we tried a chorizo quiche and Mexican rice (monthly specials) along with a handful of their sandwiches. Everything was good. Most enjoyed were the salmon sandwich as well as the goat cheese sandwich which was a nice mix of sweet & savoury. For drinks we had a ginger tea and an iced milk coffee. Both tasted very good. Overall, we liked everything we tried at PIQNIQ. Lunch servings were quick, food and drinks tasted very good and were reasonably prices. Would happily return next time we are in Amsterdam.

Delicious breakfast! After walking by yesterday and seeing the menu, we went for breakfast today. For drinks we had the orange, cinnamon, ginger tea (love that there are made with fresh ingredients) and a latte macchiato. Both came with a tasty little biscuit. For entrees we had the waffle with cinnamon apples, raisins, crispy almonds and mascarpone cream. So delicious. There may have been some syrup on the waffle too. The waffle and almonds were crunch, apples were soft and cinnamony. And the cream made it decadent. I wish the apples were warm or hot, but still so good! The two eggs with cheese, tomato, and baguette were tasty as well. We added bacon which was perfectly crispy. The eggs omelette style were great. Quite a tasty breakfast and good service. I definitely want to go back to try some lunch.

A great idea. Small sammiches, salad, quiches even a picnic selection you can preorder to take to eat somewhere else that's just as nice. You choose how many items you want, as they charge by 2, 3 and 4 items per person. Then you tell them which fillings or salad / quiche you want. The flavors are not your regular standard combinations, which my tongue seemed to say 'hang on I'm processing this... Oh yes that's good, scoff the lot'. Hot Chocolate is made using the famous Tony Chocolonely bars you'll find over there. Tasty. There's also a selection of tea and soft drink. The staff were friendly and the place is quaint. Definitely worth a try if you're in Amsterdam. And I suggest you get there early, as there is a queue for people wanting to eat inside when the weather is a bit drizzly.

We had breakfast at this place, but didn’t have an overall very nice experience. We chose this place at it was recommended for people with food intolerances. Next to being gluten free, I have severe dairy allergy, and they kept mismatching our orders. It was only 4 of us, and not many people besides us at the place, but they still needed to change our food twice because at first they brought out completely different sandwiches than what we ordered, and then when we asked for a change they didn’t make new ones, just removed the salmon from someone’s sandwich (who doesn’t eat fish at all) and brought it out again. Same with cream cheese in my food that needless to say I cannot eat with my allergies. The portions were small, and the gf bread was literally the same that I can buy in the supermarket, not even toasted. After all the mismatching, they offered a free drink on the house, we chose a mimosa, and they said that’s too much, so we didn’t get anything after all. And in the end we even paid 2,5 euros more than what we should have because they put something extra in the system. Of course, that’s not a lot of money, but just the principle of it is not ideal. The spot itself is cute, but with several intolerances, brunch here was a...
