Café Hegeraad — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I had been on a long walk in Amsterdam. I decided to sit down at a café to enjoy a nice cup of cappuccino. I found a table that was covered in dirty dishes—not anything remarkable. I sat down and enjoyed the weather while waiting for a waiter or waitress to take my order. Fifteen minutes passed, and finally, I got my cappuccino. Next to me, an older lady chose to sit, and we shared the table. When she received her coffee, they spilled it right over her. I stood up immediately in shock and offered her the napkins I had in my pocket so she could wipe the coffee off her jacket, legs, and bag. The lady was polite and calm. But to my surprise, I thought the waitstaff would step in and provide her with napkins or assistance. No. I went inside the café and asked for napkins. The guy at the counter started swearing and pointed out that he was busy. Which I understand, but for heaven's sake, respond when I ask for napkins because YOU spilled coffee on an elderly lady. What's wrong with you people? None of you helped her when it's your service we expect to be good. Anyway, he threw a cloth onto the counter, which I was apparently supposed to take to the lady. Note that he threw it as if it were a piece of trash. I’m not saying the café is bad in itself, but be prepared for the guys to be indifferent and probably...

We arrived as a group of 13 persons. The food was delicious, especially the apple pie. However, the service was unacceptable. The waiter acted in a rude manner to us. He forgot to bring one of the orders, which we can understand, so we reminded about it. He agreed to bring the jug of water and then brought different bottles of water for which we needed to pay, without mentioning about it beforehand. At the end, when we asked to pay separately the bill, he refused and told this is can not be done for the group of people. When we politely told that it would be helpful if he told about this to us beforehand, he responded to us: "If you'd think about it, you would have known". This was absolutely unacceptable answer, we acted politely with the waiter but received only disrespect in return. We will avoid this restaurant in the future, even if the food here was...

I just got treated like garbage here and after saying something about it, the guy started to act aggresive.

I was standing at the bar (on my own) waiting to be helped to pay our (overrated) visit.

Then an attractive young lady comes behind me and just goes infront of me to which the employer sees no problem, expecting me to just go along with the simping.

So I said excuse me, I was here first, to which the employee replied: you will be quiet and wait your turn and that he "didn't" know I was waiting, while I was the only person at the bar, literally tapping my banking card on the bar. He talked in the most aggrevating and insulting way possible.

Long story short, can't recommend if you are expecting normal service cuz the employees are lacking in common decency and perhaps...
