Very disappointed with Podium Mozaiek, after more than 12 years of being not only a client for the restaurant, but also performing many of my music pieces at this cultural stage, a newly hired waiter destroyed all my good memories with his extreme unprofessionalism.
For more info please read the review done by Emily Vierthaler my fiancé’s elaborate on the matter:
“For years, Podium Mozaïek has been a wonderful culinary beacon in BoLo. Unfortunately that experience changed rather quickly for us last night.
Our waiter dropped a burger on the ground while serving another table. He had been balancing two plates on one arm and not using his other hand. A mistake that could have been avoided, but oh well, we learn by making mistakes. We then watched him go to retrieve the fries for the same table and they were too hot to pick up. Instead of putting the fries on a tray, he returned with two visibly filthy dish towels to carry them with, allowing the fabric to touch the fries.
Since there was only one chef and he needed to redo the dropped order, we waited much longer for our food than expected (almost an hour) - only to find out that the waiter had lost our order. We were the only order in progress, so not sure how he failed to communicate it to the chef. By this point we were very hungry, didn’t want to wait longer, and didn’t want this man to handle our food - so we requested to leave.
The waiter told us that he had lost our order and that “it’s no problem, it happens sometimes”. He immediately began prepping the bill for our drinks (which we had barely touched while waiting for food). My partner responded that one solution would be to give us the drinks for free.
The waiter then said rudely “Okay… In the future when you go to a restaurant, let them decide for themselves how they want to solve it.”
My partner said “we can decide for ourselves, thank you.” We began walking to the door and the waiter shouted after us “And never come back!”
He got his wish: we will never return as long as he is working there. Sad to see the restaurant of a cultural establishment ruined by the arrogance and absolute incompetence of one waiter.”
And this is my review of 6 years ago with 5 stars when the staff of Podium Mozaiek was absolutely professional: “Fantastic place! Very nice staff, creative chef. You can find a good place to sit for any kind of need like business meetings, dates, family and kids or just to sit alone and work for hours on...

Tonight, we went to a dance performance. Upon arrival, the restaurant area was closed. There was also a staff shortage, which was evident from the long line at the bar. The staff was friendly, and as always, the atmosphere was relaxed.
The performance by Faizah Grootens was part of Julidans. It was beautiful with fantastic dancers. The number of seats in the hall was halved, mainly due to the arrangement of the dance floor. The set was simple, with large mirror columns dominating the space and the floor covered in corn kernels. It was a beautiful dance performance, and afterwards, you received a nice souvenir (a fan).

After a long time, we had dinner, and it was okay. Unfortunately, the meat wasn't tender and juicy. The knife wasn't suitable for cutting the meat, which was a shame. We were served salad and fries for two people, but it was quite little. It's a good thing we're not big eaters; otherwise, it wouldn't have been enough.
The hall is nice because there are no fixed seats, so make sure to stand by the stairs early to get upstairs. Otherwise, you might end up with a side seat. The great thing about the hall is that it's cozy yet very...
