Maybe we were at the wrong place (we weren't) but I can't agree and say they were the best fries. Average at most. The girl was friendly and service was good, however, The male (supervisor?) Started farting, burping and smoking just by the doorway. Maybe this is charming for some people but off putting for us. 😄 I don't know why we stayed. That should have been our cue to leave. Plus, no where to sit, except a dirty bench next to the hut. The ducks enjoyed the burnt crispy bits. I'm glad the ferry over was free. Sorry. Can't recommend, except they were cheaper than others over the water. Update; pont neuf - thankyou for your response. I'm sorry we visited on a less than good day. There was definately a man there on the day we visited, going in and out of the hut, but he didn't serve us. I don't know his position. So, I can only comment on our experience of that day. Deceptive Overcharging!!!! Our table of 4 chose formula menu of 36.5 euro for 3 courses. However what was presented on the bill was an itemized billing of our selections with 15 euro discount. I do not know about you but after wine even this math major needed a spreadsheet to figure this one out! We acquiesced to the explanation given that this was a Michelin rated restaurant. We were two couples splitting the bill. We each got presented credit card acceptance in DOLLARS not Euros compounding the confusion! after much consternation we were tired and signed.

The next day, on our cruise, (this was our last night in Amsterdam) we compared notes with our traveling companions and found that we were each charged for the entire meal! With limited cell and internet, resolving was not possible.This was a deliberate act by the server and restaurant manager to confuse and overcharge...

Its an honor to be the first on Google maps to review this little place.. but even greater honor to be the one that adds it to the Google maps! i have no idea how this place was not listed here, but, now it is for everyone to enjoy the best fries in Amsterdam. Me and my girl were there in August 16, we got there by mistake actually, but man, what a great mistake that was! The fries were so good i ordered twice the large size(just for me!! My girl eat another one), with onions on top, i know its only fries, but it felt like i died and went to heaven! Don't believe me? Go and see for yourself, trust me you won't be disappointed!
