BE CAREFUL GO-CITY PASS HOLDERS
Per the pass, you must walk in as you don't have to reserve. After reaching the spot, the captain informed us that there were no available seats for the 8 PM and 9.30 PM tours out of the three cruises they operate. It seems unfair that the tour doesn't operate on a first-come, first-served basis when all the attractions on the pass operate on the same principle. There appears to be a clear distinction between people who purchased tickets outside of go-city and go-city pass holders, which is confusing since both groups have paid for the trips and should be treated equally. The past never explained this, and it didn't make sense to have this rule if I had to buy a pass.
To address this issue, you could consider allowing go-city pass holders to book online or reserving ENOUGH seats. During my visit, I saw seven people turned away, and it was frustrating to see ALL OF US queue up for hours and not get a chance to experience the cruise. Other canal cruise providers, like Stroma, allowed everyone first-come, first-served access.
Bull Dog is a 1/5 for me since if you were on my planning list and I had to way away, I'm not using the pass. It's more annoying that I emailed them, and they asked me to be there 15 min in advance to make a spot, but then I was fooled.
GO-CITY pass holders can avail of the other cruise on the pass from STROMA, and they are pretty cool. Just walk in, and they accept you with open arms since they operate very often and have seats.
Edit 1 - After the owner of the boat replied. Thanks for considering next time im in Amsterdam and thanks for accepting that the pre-booked people from other apps are first and not the pass holders but again not my fault since i bought the pass worth 200€ for 2 wanting to do the bull dog trip as it was on the list (Which basically is like “i’m confirmed” and i have a seat ANYTIME i fly by since its a “Pass” and it works the same way elsewhere places where a booking is required if you have the Go-City pass.So its definitely a big issue between your company and Go-City.Everything else on that Pass was AWESOME for me...
Read moreHighly recommend, 10/10 experience!! Me and my friend booked a tour starting at 21:30 so we could catch the sunset, and it was absolutely beautiful. The tour was informative and relaxed, ending at the centre of town as we couldn’t dock back where we started. This proved no problem and the host and captain gave recommendations for things to do where we were. Speaking of, they were both incredible and so so lovely!! (Shoutout to Mia and tall boy with curly blonde hair!!) The atmosphere they created was engaging and chill, cracking jokes to lighten the mood, perfect for anyone who wants to see the city with a J in their hand. We got this in the go-city pass, but honestly we would have gone a second time in a heartbeat. The two free drinks on board are another added bonus, and our lovely host made sure everyone got what they wanted. Highlight of our trip...
Read moreHubby and I didn’t have a reservation but had a connect pass for this boat and we were so lucky to have been let on because this is the experience of a lifetime time. Our captain was friendly and so knowledgeable. I love history and hubby loves chill, so mix both and it was perfect. 420 friendly (your own) with very good wine and beer options (included in the ticket). All round perfect vibes! Open top as well for the best views. We did a sunset 8pm cruise, so definitely more chill, I can imagine a day cruise would have loads more culture and information as the captain is that versatile! Comfort, relaxed and fun. Definitely an experience 5 stars and more!!
