Disappointing Welcome Despite Great Food: I’ve always enjoyed the food from Sababa and have ordered online many times, so I thought I’d stop by in person to support the place. Unfortunately, my visit left a sour taste—not because of the food, which was as good as ever, but because of the reception I received.
I walked in at 9:10pm, well before their 9:30pm closing time. The restaurant was empty and clearly in the process of winding down, which I understand—but the way I was greeted felt unnecessarily cold. When I asked for a shawarma, the cook let out a loud sigh and rolled her eyes. She then came over and asked, rather curtly, “Do you eat meat?” I replied yes, and was met with another exasperated sigh. On top of all of this we received a chopped salad that was so obviously expired it was mouldy and stank.
The only saviour was the cauliflower, which although nothing special, was nicely charred and well seasoned.
Overal, shockingly bad and not to...

Even when asked if the sweet potatoe fries would come with salt on, she said yes, but they didn't. She even burnt the first batch of sweet potato fries, and I watched her put them in the bin. Shop wasn't busy, and I was the only one being...
