Unfortunately this wasnāt a great experience. Iām half-Indonesian, and to me, the food tasted like they had warmed up the leftovers from yesterday. That doesnāt have to mean that it canāt taste good. But our dishes just didnāt taste fresh. Then there was the waiter who did his best and tried to be polite at all times, but unintentionally came off a little bit rude. My friend, who had presented a EU covid certificicate on paper, was questioned multiple times why she couldnāt download the coronacheck app. He didnāt deny her access, but then again he also didnāt scan ours. We just had to present it. Which was a bit weird. Then, when we finished, we wanted to take some leftovers from the dinner with us in a tupperware. His argument was: āIām sorry, itās busy. We canāt do this. ā I mean thatās RUDE! But we told him we could do it ourselves if he gaves us some tupperware. He ran out to the kitchen to get ONE tupperware. But we needed at least 3.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe really enjoyed this experience. This restaurant offered nearly the entire menu gluten free (she said she could adjust anything accordingly). We had attempted to dine at two other Indonesian restaurants before this one, and they couldnāt offer gluten free options. We let her chose our banquet options and Iām glad we did, as it was so delicious and varied; beef randang, satay chicken, green bean dish, eggplant/aubergine dish, coconut tofu dish and more. We also had a soup starter that she made gluten free too. All the staff were smiling and friendly. The owner was amazing to accommodate to my gluten free needs. My partner also ate the gf meal with me and enjoyed it immensely. It was our first ever Indonesian cuisine experience and weāll definitely do it again! So much value for money too. Basically rolled home we ate so much! Thank you for a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were walking about looking for somewhere to eat on our last evening in Amsterdam. We peeked at the menu and it looked like a good variety of options plus some all in Rijsttafels which we were informed (by Google) were traditional. We ordered the the set menu Rijsttafels that were for 2 at 50 euros, the restaurant kindly scaled it up for the odd number of people (5).
The food came out in many little dishes, heated on a metal stand. They all tasted great. Lots of different flavours and meat / tofu / vegetables.
The atmosphere was relaxed, casual, homely but still professional.
The house wine (red) was reasonably priced and neutral. We stayed and chatted long after our food was gone with our remaining wine.
Service was prompt, polite and professional.
Would highly recommend and we would come here in...
