Walhalla Brewery & Taproom — Restaurant in Amsterdam

It was a wonderful Sunday afternoon! My friend and I visited the local craft brewery Walhalla and were not disappointed: Real craft beer (13 different kinds) brewed just in the garage beside the bar. Reasonable prices and friendly service.

Paul of the Walhalla-team (there are just five of them who make Walhalla happen!) took time to find us a craft beer we would enjoy - he did a good job :-)

I will come back in a heartbeat. Not just for the delicious beer and tosties but also for their pubquizes, storytelling nights (myths and tales) or Lindy Hop(s) events. Looking forward for summer when I can enjoy a nice cold draft on their front porch.

One of the best beer experiences you can have in Netherlands. We’re on a motorhome tour of this lovely country and although it’s not all about beer, it does seem to involve lots of beer. This was about our 12th beery diversion on our trip and the highlight so far. The beers are superb, the young lady that was seemingly running the place single handed was amazing as were the lovely customers there too. It’s just a regular industrial unit in the middle of nothing much at all but has a real vibe and good vibe to it. Bought a load of cans to share with friends at home if they make it that far. If you're ever in Amsterdam make sure you hunt down this brewery! Genuinely nice guys. Me and a friend wandered in one day last September thinking they were open.. Turned out to be their launch party for staff, but they invited us in anyway. The owner (I forget his name) had a great little chat with us about the brewery, the craft beer industry in Amsterdam/in general, and gave a bunch of good tips as he personally served us a bunch of beers. He even gave me a bottle to take away, but refused any payment for the total 4-5 beers we had (each! Plus a bottle of barleywine.) Literally had to force...
