Velvet Square Café — Restaurant in Amsterdam

A bit confused with your dog friendly policy. I’ve been there twice before with my dog, was welcomed inside, had employees play with my dog and even bring her a bowl of water. However last week I went in, and a guy I never met before told me I had to sit outside because my dog was not welcome (which I totally respect, and usually ask before going in, but I had a very different experience before, so hope you understand my confusion). A sign at the door would prevent situations like this (but I do think you’re missing out on lots of business considering how many people have dogs in this neighbourhood). Also, maybe you should communicate your policy with other members of your staff, to not confuse...

This was absolutely one of my favorite cafes I visited in Amsterdam! It was so well decorated and very spacious, the seating all very comfortable. The tofu bagel and the matcha were top tier, so delicious! I spent most of the day here almost stayed open to close. It was a nice place to get work done with great food that you just can order at the table with a QR code and they bring it to you which was so convenient! What an amazing experience! Booked a private event here for a Sunday Brunch. The atmosphere was incredible, it’s hard to come by big places like this in Amsterdam. Restaurant is a nice 15 min walk from the ferry station.

They are serving up some great Specialty Coffee as well as ceremonial quality matcha. I had the Turkish Eggs and Pastrami Bagel sandwich (breadwinner bagel), both were delicious.
