Warie's Thai Food — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Small but cosy corner restaurant in one of my favourite neighbors of Amsterdam. They offer a broad variety of dishes, vegetarian options are available and visible in the last page of the menu (if you are vegan please remind them to avoid putting eggs as well). As appetizer we had a tahoe sate, served like icecream sticks with the sauce on a side (quite unexpected since I am used to versions of the tahoe already "drowning" in the sauce). As main course we had fried rice with vegetables and tahoe with vegetables in spicy sauce. The former was really tasty, the portion quite big and the carrots nicely cut (they were really cute), the latter equally good but quite hot (it was the lowest level of spiciness so it also depends on your personal taste of course)! Overall I really appreciated the taste of the food, the fact that you can eat outside andt that takeaway is also possible. The only downsides are that while sitting outside it seems like you are in the middle of the city traffic and...that they had...

Pains me to write a really poor review for a small local shop. I was expecting good food based on the high star reviews... but i was really disappointed. First off the staff was friendly and nice. But the food overall was poor. The chicken spring rolls was fine. The coconut soup was really sweet and the Tom yum was alright. On to the bad.. the pad Thai was one of the worst I have had. It did not taste like pad Thai at all and didn’t even have same ingredient as a common pad Thai. I was trying to justify the dish but even if I said it was a stir fried noodles, it tasted really bad. Worst service! No ownership of mistakes! NEVER ORDER FROM HERE

We ordered 2 vegetarian dishes and after a considerable wait, the food was delivered. The food had chicken in it, we called and made them aware. They asked for a photo to prove that it’s chicken and said they will deliver the vegetarian dish tomorrow.

Once we sent the photo and threw the food, they called us to return the thrown food to get vegetarian food in exchange, stating someone else will eat that food.

If they are using thrown away food to serve other customers, god knows what else they serve!
