Upon entering the spacious and serene restaurant, one is immediately struck by the peaceful ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The immaculate cleanliness of the restroom is worth noting, reflecting the establishment's attention to detail.
The service staff, particularly the kindful lady who attended to us, was outstanding. Her genuine enthusiasm in assisting us was palpable, elevating our experience even further.
As for the cuisine, the Koeng Thod was rather unremarkable - neither particularly good nor bad. Although it retained a shrimpy essence, the dish was slightly dry and the shrimps were disappointingly small. On the other hand, the Kai Satay proved to be a delectable treat that left a positive impression.
However, it was the Kaeng Phed Kai that truly stole the show. Each bite was a testament to the dish's exceptional flavor profile, creating a longing for more even after the meal's conclusion. And just when it seemed the culinary journey had reached its peak, the Tom Ka Koeng swooped in to claim the spotlight. As someone who typically dislikes coconut, I was astounded by how the Thai chefs transformed it into a key ingredient in one of the most extraordinary soups I have ever tasted.

Read moreQuite disappointed in this place after choosing it based on other ratings. They wouldn't even give us tap water unless we ordered a beer or wine so I went without a drink at all. This was a major turn-off from the start. Then we waited over 30 minutes after we ordered to just get our appetizer (3 vegetable egg rolls), and it wasn't like it was busy enough that there was a wait for a table, as there were tables opening up. The pad thai (ordered both chicken and beef variations) were just average, but not great. The red chicken curry was pretty good. The inside of the restaurant was extremely hot and not well ventilated that it was almost unbearable to stay inside, granted it was abnormally warm in Amsterdam this day. Overall, I was not impressed at all and would have rathered to go...
Read moreOrdered a: massaman beef, tom kha koeng and a khao pad kai to go a while back and found our meal to be of very average to bad quality.
The massaman beef was primarily oil and no proper sauce, the beef was still quite tough and it actually gave my partner and I stomach issues.
The tom kha koeng lacked in flavour, had barely any vegetables in it and only 2 shrimp?
The chicken fried rice was of average quality and was probably the highlight of this dish, which says enough.
For those three items I paid €41,70, which wasn't worth the money of the quality of food we got.
The delivery was made 40min after ordering and no cutlery or napkins were included in the bag. The meal was quite disappointing and we shall not eat nor order from this...
