Restaurant Karakter — Restaurant in Arnhem

Borrel Karakter lives up to its name as a social place to gather with colleague and friends. They have a small patio outside with heaters and more tables inside.

The food was amazing for the most part. They have a 3 course menu for 40 where you get a starter, main course and dessert. My colleague ordered the nachos to start which was the only weird item I thought tasted more like stadium food. However Karakter redeemed itself with the salmon tartar which was fresh and a large portion. The schnitzel was delicious and light. It was a huge piece but pounded very thin and camw with a light potato salad. Lastly, the lemon tiramisu was a perfect ender - not overly sweet or overly lemon -it tasted like a bit of heaven. Service was a little slow but we were still checked on during our meal and I would say it was more at a leisurely pace. I would not skip Karakter if you ever find yourself in the quaint...

I've been here tonight and I have loved it, I have paid 33'50€ for a menu, that includes principant, main curse and a dessert, on the principant I have chosen the Gambas al Ajillo that where awesome, on the main curse I have chosen a Schnitzel that was one of the biggest meats that I have eaten, it was over broad it and it was fantastic, it cames with a souce, fries, mushrooms, coleslaw and a salad and for the dessert I have chosen Dame Blanch that it was fantastic, it contains vanilla icecream, hot chocolate cream and almonds, on my opinion this was a very good restaurant for beeing with the family...

My daughter and I wanted to experience Dutch restaurant and foods in Netherlands so we visited Karakter in Arnhem. The restaurant was located at a convenient location and felt cozy. All the foods we ordered were great, especially the mushroom and prawn starter dishes tasted fantastic! The presentation of all the foods was artistic! I would visit the restaurant again when I have a chance in the future. Only issue was that the smoking related smell bothered me even though there was no smoking or vaping in the restaurant.
