Café Corenmaet — Restaurant in Breda

Ate here on two occassions. First time i sat a table and chair inside. The chair was unbearable, it actually gave me back pain during the meal and had to slouch during the entire 3 course meal as it was beyond painfainful. I rested my legs on the leg of the table, and then everything feel off the table. DO NOT sit on the black chairs inside without a cushion. One waiteress gave me my drink without even saying a word. Other staff were friendly and asked if everything was okay. Food was fast this time.

Second time was an absolute disaster. I sat away from the black chairs this time and instead one with a cushion, much more comfortable. This time the waiteress refused to offer me the menu without ordering a drink. So i put in an order for a drink for my dessert. Turns out i NEVER even recieved the drink at the end (not that im complaining as i wasnt charged for it but, i didnt have to the day before) I dealt with the same waiteress the day before.

The service after the main course was really bad, was beyond 30 minutes waiting for my dessert, and i was given the wrong dessert aswell. Then it took them another 20 minutes to take my plate away when i was finished. I waited 15 minutes for the bill, but had to myself go to the counter to pay.

Overall, food was nice, it is expensive, terrible service & chairs & impolite staff.

Willl NOT be coming back here & would not suggest anyone to eat here.

It felt like the waiteress didn't want me to ever eat here again, and it worked. Wrong...

During our time at the Corenmaet we both ordered 2 beers and 1 portion of nachos WITH ground beef. After 40 minutes the nachos still weren’t served. When the nachos were brought by kitchen staff I assume, the man that brought them to us acted rude and was already talking to the table next to us while putting down the nachos rudely and walked away wothout an excuse or explanation why our food took so long or whatsoever. Our waitress offered us 25% off of the nachos which was kind. Afterwards realized we received nachos WITHOUT ground beef. Atleast the beers were cold and our waitress...

Net als eerste gasten binnen bij Corenmaet na een eerdere goede ervaring. Deze keer echter zeer teleurstellend. Het broodje hete kip à 12,70€!!! Was een ciabatta belegd met twee blaadjes sla en 5 harde gefrituurde kipstukjes. Toen de serveerster kwam vragen of alles in orde was gaf ik aan dat dit voor deze prijs een zeer benedenmaats belegd broodje was. Zij zou het doorgeven aan de chef. Na mijn klacht kwam zij hier niet meer op terug. Bij het vragen naar de rekening aan haar collega wederom aangegeven dat ik niet tevreden was en dat ik voor deze prijs een goed belegd broodje had verwacht. Ook hij zou dit “doorgeven”. Bij terugkomst van het toilet betrapte mijn man de twee collega’s op een gesprek over ons waarin een ssssh-gebaar werd gemaakt met de vinger voor de mond. Toen hij de twee hiermee confronteerde werd ook hier niets mee gedaan. De twee collega’s bleven “achter de schermen” totdat wij er genoeg van hadden en de zaak verlieten om ons vervolgens luid “tot ziens” na te roepen. Belachelijk!
