De Bruine Pij — Restaurant in Breda

Walked in randomly while exploring Breda and immediately made friends at the bar. I learned some Dutch customs while enjoying some good Dutch beer and had my first "brown bouquet" with frikandel, bitterballen etc. I would give this place five stars except I had to take one away because the parrot is dead. However I gave back the fifth star because Casper was super friendly and took my side in a debate about being "direct" and encouraged me to try bicycling in Amsterdam even though I am afraid to get yelled at. 11/10...

Worst bar I’ve been so far in whole Netherlands. I had to wait close to 10 min for them to take my order, and it was taken just becouse the waiter was passing by, after that another 15 min for them to pour and give me the beer I ordered. Same story with paying for that, just pushing the resposybility form one person to another, not to mentoin that glass for beer still had detergent...

Ordered fries (which were excellent), but no cutlery or napkins, no coasters for the drinks either. They had terras-heaters, but they were not on. New furniture, but the tables were too high for the seats. Glasses had a funky smell. Service was friendly, but not very attentive and quite slow. Reasonable pricing and very nice location, but over all would not...
