Popocatepetl Breda — Restaurant in Breda

Some great Mexican food to be had here. In a wonderful ambience that reminds of a very colorful Mexican restaurant, the waiters serve good food and good drinks.

The appetizers of the group menu had a large amount of nachos which was a downside but overal the food tastes great and was well presented. Another time I was at the restaurant, the a la carte menu was superb and made me long for a vacation. The cocktails looked and tasted great. Beer was also great.

Service was nice. The staff was well informed on the menu and could provide good alternatives when necessary.

The place is clean, tidy, well lit, and has great atmosphere. Apparently it can also be used as a venue for parties (such as weddings). Staff will have to be asked about that if you want more...

Really lovely expeirence. The palace has lovely decoration inside, next time I'll get some photos. We sat outside. The waiter Ruben, I think his name was, was really lovely and funny. Gave us great recommendations. I actually opted for a vegetarian burger... And I haven't found many that are NOT dry .. but this one made it. Veggie bean burger. Lush! We had a mixed starter which was fine, guacamole was unreal! Nice. And then my partner had a chicken fajita which he also said was great. Dessert was a generously sized coffee with cream thing and a brownie. Brownies was a bit dense but still nice. Ohhh and ORDER FROZEN MARGARITAS! There's three flavours. As far as 'mexican' food goes, i would to know where the chefs get their inspiration from. Flavourless food, it started with tortilla as starter and the very bland salsa. Already i was thinking, this is gonna be interesting if the salsa is this tasteless. My girlfriend had what they presented as 'enchiladas', dont think they ever seen an enchilada. She said the flavour was oke, but the fact she was soo hungry probably helped. Dont think they removed the membrane of the ribs i had, they put blue cheese sauce on my corn on the cob so i tried it and sent it back because the cob was black burnt on one side and i wanted it plain with no sauce all over my cob. The cocktail was just liquor, mixer and ice. Not a cocktail! All in all, no coming...
