We had the most fun here at Altijd in de Buurt out of all restaurants we visited for dinner! Vibes, check, food , check, drinks, check, music, check!

I very much enjoyed the vibes and music! I ended up ordering this delicious drink "mango melanin" 3 times, it was so so good (I like sweet fruity drinks)!

Rianne was our waitress and she is the one who put me on the mango melanin, she provided us with great service!

I ordered the boa down with tempura mushroom as a substitute for the chicken, as I am a vegetarian. Accidentally the kitchen ended up serving me chicken anyway and I ended up taking a bite of it. I brought it up with Rianne and she apologized and returned with the correct dish after the kitchen remade it for me. Everything was good until a security that called “HOSÈ “approach us. We are local person it was our first time there. So at the place there is no sign saying that is not allow to dance , and also when we enter the property the security didn't say that is not allow to dance , so our group begin to dance without knowing any rules and then the security came and talk in a very disrespectful and arrogant attitude with us , begin to scream, that if we keep dancing we have to leave the property now , and every people at the place was shock the way that he approch us . when u hiring a person for a job there is a responsibility to teach them how to do the work and specially when is about guest that visit your place. this security is very unprofessional and very disrespecful , this is a very bad experience at that place. ////

Wow what a great little spot. We went in late on a Tuesday when just about everything was closed in Willemstad. They were just getting started at altijd in de buurt. We came in to get some takeout to bring back to the hotel, and it was so nice we just stayed and dined in. So relaxing and casual. Fantastic service from the super nice lady working this evening Feb 7, 9PM. Meal was ready in under 10 minutes and it was delicious. Highly recommend eating here but their bar area and side patios are also dope. This would be a great spot to chill with friends and drink the night away. Bonus: their bathrooms...
