I was advised to visit Yvonne's located upstairs for the best local food in Curacao and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Galiñas Stroba (chicken stew), Moro (rice, red kidney beans and vegetables) and fried plantains. The flavours were amazing and the chicken was cooked to perfection. My friend had the goat which was similarly lovely.
We walked downstairs and tried a mango, passion fruit and orange juice smoothie. It was made in front of us using only fresh ingredients. Alongside the smoothies which were presented well, there were half coconut shells with mango chunks and a quartered orange that were topped with passion fruit pulp. The smoothies were great and it was nice to drink one made with all natural ingredients for a change.
