I give this place 1 star purely because me and my significant other could literally see that the workers are treated poorly. We came here for lunch the other day, we sat down and we had to wait about 15 min and no one came up to us to ask us what we wanted to order. When looking at the bar there was only 1 staff member during the lunch rush hour (no wonder that no body came up to us because this staff member was doing everything on his own). We did look at the menu and were very intrigued to try out the food, so we came back for dinner the next day. The place was packed and when sitting at a table we were just enjoying the atmosphere. When ordering our waiter was super nice and helpful. But after ordering no body came over to us for about 45 minutes. Again because the place was packed and there was way too little staff. After about 50 minutes my significant other went up to our waiter to ask if they maybe forgot us (we are both very easy going because we know how hard it can be to work in the restaurant business) eventually our food came after waiting a hour without any waiters coming to tell us what was going on. My significant other ordered medium rare beef tenderloin. The food was cold, and overcooked instead of medium rare. I ordered fish. The fish was warm, but also very over cooked. We were very disappointed since we had waited so long for the food. At this point we were wondering if our food was forgotten to take to our table by the waiter and just got reheated. My significant other went up to a waiter that was not serving our table because our waiter was too busy. The waiter told us that they had way too little staff not only that evening but the three times we were there they had too little staff on the work floor. By the end of the evening there was a line of people waiting to pay. But no body could help them because every waiter was too busy. We heard all the people there complain about or the food or how slow everything went. We think this is not a problem of the staff but a problem of the owner(s) / organisation. That’s why we are writing this review hoping something will change because the staff was literarily running all night and the whole atmosphere of the place was suffering due to...

I rarely ever give low reviews (I strive to give small businesses 5 stars only). However, I thought people should be aware before eating here. Staff is very friendly upon arrival! We just landed for a short weekend getaway, and had plans to walk around the city before it got dark and this place looked great (when I looked up the reviews on Google).

When we first sat down 3 tables got up and left due to delay in their food. Also when we sat down there were only 2 other tables that stayed - so it wasn’t packed or anything! We thought maybe it was just a hiccup since the server told us not to worry and that it would take no longer than 15-20 min for the 1 appetizer (pictured below) and a side dish that they forgot. We were actually going to take entrees too but the appetizer took 2 hours. He forgot another item and when we asked what was going on, he said nothing except - “it’ll be 10 more minutes”. Which was untrue.

We were starving and already invested over an hour here so when we were told it’s coming out anytime, we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Also we were very polite even after an hour. Once they came out with the 1 appetizer platter, that’s when we realized the other item was missing but just asked for the check (which there were no apologies etc). We paid full price and left, no sympathy or anything. It’s a shame we missed the sight seeing as its now dark and we’re still hungry!

It was our time /first meal in Curacao ever, so a bit disappointed. I do believe that we can only go up from here! In total we waited over 2 hours (sat before 5pm, and left at 6:50pm) for the appetizer below. I hope this restaurant the best and a better dining experience for others. (Note food was cold too). We only have 2 days here so we’re sad how the trip started!

We’re totally understanding of island time however, over 2 hours for an appetizer is disrespectful. Especially without any communication even if there were possibly kitchen issues. Including lying to customers about the timing of food just to keep us around....

If there is a specific ambiance that can define the island of Curacao then here is where you will find a true definition of Culture! This beautiful establishment is nestled in the beautiful self isolated village of "Hulanda Village" and directly across from the African Heritage Museum. The setting is an open outdoor Cafe/Restaurant that offers an eclectic natural ambiance immersed in nature and beautiful art. Vibrant colors and a vast original menu with lots of options to span across dietary likes. Vegetarian bowls, coffee and teas, lunch and dinner platter options and a full bar for an afternoon or night cap. FYI I had the "Heritage Bowl"....try it!.The staff are very welcoming and lively. The vibe is very chill and laid back no need for the zipping around and noise. It's a PERFECT place to walk around and explore the shops, admire the art and enjoy a meal or cocktail in the afternoon sun or evening under the stars. This place is like quite a few I experienced on the island It is definitely one worth the visit when visiting the island of Curacao. Very unique in atmosphere, exceptional in service and outstanding in...

The staff was absolutely hospitable I've ever encountered. My husband was taking a tour of the museum and the benches out front were super hard on my thumb so I nicely came down here and asked him if I could sit on their chairs if they mind while I waited for my husband. Not only did they allow me to do that they offered me a and the benches out front were super hard on my thumb so I nicely came down here and asked him if I could sit on their chairs if they mind while I waited for my husband. Not only did they allow me to do that, but they also offered me free water. The Breeze felt great, and the cushioned chairs were way more comfortable. I was getting a little warm as usual here in the tropical weather, so I ordered a pina colada juice without alcohol. It was very tasty. When my husband finished the tour, he had carbonated water. The staff is so friendly and absolutely adore them. This place is located right out the slave museum Kura Hulsnda
