We (two couples) had dinner on a Friday night. The location is nice and has a nice ambiance in Kura Hulanda, but has not a lot of airflow or wind... be aware it can be HOT. The service was friendly, but very slow... and as soon as we mentioned the food was not so good we were ignored completely. We had a selection of starters (fried mozarella balls, fried calamari rings and antipasto misto) which were good. But we should have stopped there. As a main course we had two pizzas and two pastas... and honestly that was the worst pizza I have ever tasted. The dough was not cooked properly and way to thick, the toppings made it soggy... better to try a deepfreeze pizza from the supermarket. The pasta's were sort of okay... but dried out; probably from staying too long under a hotplate. The taste was so-so. Desserts looked good on the menu, but after our main course fiasco, we skipped it. All in all, I would not recommend going here... it has nothing to do with an Italian restaurant. I am sure there are decent resrtaurants within walking distance where you will have a...

I decided to check out this new restaurant yesterday, which has only been open for a week but is already pretty busy. I'll start with the pros: The place is large, with both indoor and outdoor front/ back patio seating; has a great atmosphere. The food was good, but there were a few issues. First, I couldn’t find where the check-in or host desk was, and there was no greeting when we arrived. Even though the waitress saw us standing there, no one acknowledged us at first. Once seated, the service was slow, and there was a very long wait for everything. While we understand that things can take time, this was longer than expected. At the very least, they could have offered some bread or something to snack on while waiting. Additionally, the waitress didn’t listen when I asked for tap water—two bottles of water were brought instead. By the time the food arrived, it was cold, but I was so hungry I ate it anyway. Despite these issues, the food was still good. Since the restaurant is still new, I’m going to give them some slack and give it a second try to see if...

We tried this new restaurant right at lunch time being the only customers. The server was very attentive and nice and had a little chat with us. Also the other employees were very friendly. Drinks and food were served quickly. We had a pizza Margharita and Pasta Aglio e Oglio. The pizza was delicious though at some parts slightly undercooked and maybe the oven hasn’t been cleaned properly as there were more than normal burnt flour particles below the pizza. The pasta was excellent and had a good spiciness. Prices were average as elsewhere on the island. What I disliked was the restrooms. They were disgusting and had many stains on the toilets and on the basins as well as on the floor. I’m hoping it’s just from the old establishment and the new owners are urgently doing something about this. If you forget about the restrooms we had a very...

Viva Pizza e Pasta Bar is a culinary gem in Curaçao! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed into the stylish and inviting atmosphere of Kura Hulanda Village. The ambiance is perfect, and the service is attentive and friendly. We started with the calamari frito con salsa piccante and gamberi in salsa all’aglio – both absolutely delicious. The sauce from the shrimp was so flavorful that we ended up dipping our pizza crusts in it. For the main course, we enjoyed the pizza al funghi and diavola. The Neapolitan crust was light and crispy, topped with the freshest ingredients. And the espresso martini… simply the best we’ve ever had! Viva offers an unparalleled Italian dining experience on the island. A must-visit – we’ll definitely be back!
