This proved to be an excellent choice for a recent lunchtime visit. Despite being incredibly busy, the experience was remarkably smooth thanks to their quick and organized service. It's clear the staff here are masters of efficiency!

The menu offered plenty of choice, catering to various tastes. A definite highlight was the hot dogs – absolutely amazing and so tasty! In fact, everyone at our table thoroughly cleaned their plates, a testament to the delicious food.

What truly set Café De Wijnhaven apart, however, was the super friendly and accommodating staff. One of our party was celiac, and despite the bustling atmosphere, the team had no problem repeatedly checking with the kitchen about gluten-free options. Their patience and dedication to ensuring a safe and enjoyable meal for everyone, even when swamped, was genuinely impressive.

Arrived in the evening today at 18.45 and sat outside with my wife and my kids with 2 and 4 years old to have a drink and feed the boys. We ordered drinks, and when the drinks came we ordered the food for our kids straight away: nachos, fries, onion rings and a hotdog (nothing very special) to share between both of them. Getting dark and cold and the food doesnt arrive. All the people around us that ordered after us are served and I asked a waiter what is happening with the food and againg left waiting with no explanation at all. Finally we decided to ask for the bill and move at 19.50 after 1 hour waiting for a very simple order. I paid for the drinks and we left with my son crying asking where is the hotdog he ordered, very sad scene. Anyone can make a mistake with the orders but they didn't seem to be very touched seeing my son crying. I was expecting at least an apology and an explanation, not to me but to my son but the treatmeant was as cold as...

I am modifying my review because we had a bad experience. We went for dinner, but it took really long and we found out that our order was forgotten. That is OK, it can happen. When it finally came, only three out of the four things we order came, so we ask the waitress. Then, her answer was a very angry: "don't you see I only have two hands!?" I can understand that busy evenings can be stressful for the staff, and we respect that. But being usual costumers, and after waiting for a (really) long time for an order that was forgotten... I expected, at least, kindness. Happy to revisit my review for a full 5star, but I think this must be noted.
