I visited this place during winter a while ago with friends. We sat outside. The beer was good, the waiters were friendly and the lit oil lamp created a very cozy atmosphere. Everything seemed to be perfect until inside one of the oil lamps beside me the oil started catching fire. Without thinking too much the waiter wanting to extinguish the fire, poured water over the lamp creating a large flame, which just missed my face my centimeters. Next time please keep in mind that hot/burning oil and water do not fit together, as it might cause big harm...
Read moreI tried two tap beers: Pohjala Uus Maailm session IPA 4.7% @ 4.80 euro per 0.33l and Hertog Jan pilsner 5.1% @ 3.9 euro per 0.5l. Both were perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day, but pilsener a much better value for money. Ten other beers on tap including Leffe, Guinness and some local Dutch beers. Very nice place with friendly service and nice atmosphere. A walking distance from the Vermeer Centre. A must for beer lovers...
