Tucked between a charming church on the right and the bustling Townhall on the left, it offers an unparalleled dining experience. In this review, I'll delve into the outstanding atmosphere, the vibrant crowd, and the overall appeal of this open restaurant.

First and foremost, the atmosphere at this restaurant is nothing short of enchanting. As you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The outdoor seating area, surrounded by lush greenery and adorned with twinkling fairy lights, sets the stage for a magical evening. The restaurant cleverly integrates the historical charm of the church and Townhall into its design, creating a harmonious blend of old-world elegance and modern comfort.

The seating arrangements are well-spaced, ensuring privacy while still fostering a sense of togetherness. The wooden tables and chairs, paired with soft cushions, provide both comfort and style. The restaurant's open-air concept allows you to dine under the stars, making it a perfect spot for romantic dinners or casual get-togethers with friends.

Now, let's talk about the crowd. The restaurant attracts a happening and diverse clientele. On any given evening, you'll find a mix of locals and tourists, creating an energetic and lively atmosphere. The place buzzes with conversation, laughter, and the clinking of glasses, creating a delightful backdrop to your dining experience.

The restaurant's menu is equally impressive. Offering a range of culinary delights, it caters to various tastes and preferences. From delectable appetizers to mouthwatering mains and decadent desserts, every dish is prepared with precision and care. The wine list is extensive, featuring a selection of both local and international wines that pair beautifully with the menu offerings.

The staff deserves special mention for their attentive and friendly service. They are well-versed in the menu, offering recommendations and ensuring that every guest's needs are met promptly. Their professionalism adds to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

One aspect that truly sets this restaurant apart is its commitment to sustainability. They use locally sourced ingredients, support eco-friendly practices, and have minimized their environmental footprint. This dedication to sustainability aligns perfectly with the picturesque natural surroundings.

In conclusion, the open restaurant nestled between the church and Townhall is a true culinary gem. Its excellent atmosphere, brought to life by the beautiful setting and vibrant crowd, elevates the dining experience to new heights. Whether you're seeking a romantic dinner, a lively gathering with friends, or a taste of local cuisine, this restaurant has it all. With outstanding service and a commitment to sustainability, it's a must-visit destination for anyone looking to savor both flavors and moments in a truly...

This is was BAD!

To truly understand the disappointment that was this restaurant, I need to start at the beginning. To start, we waited 30+ minutes just to get a table, then another 40 to get served. Not only that, but we got no service after the first round of drinks… nothing, nada, zilch.

And don’t even get me started on the food. Sad, like it was dropped as a child. We got 2 stakes, gyoza, and some clams. The stakes was overcooked and had the same seasoning as an old white man would use… none. The gyoza, oh boy. Sad, damp and just not good. Don’t forget concerningly lukewarm, like your exes text messages. I think the chef forgot what warm food is. The only warm things were the clams, but only as warm as a dead beet father’s love. And the steak oh boy, it was so lean I think my skinny friend had more fat on her. Stiffer and dryer than a new shoe box. You think you can chew this stake think again, it took me a full 30 seconds too chew one piece. And the sides, if your looking for a half overcooked, half undercooked, mushy piece of asparagus, and carrots that are sadder than you’re depressed nephew, this is the place for you. And you think they could at least season and wash these vegetables nah why should they. It’s like the chef is allergic to salt and pepper, or any other seasonings for that matter. God, it’s like my stepmother and accountability.

The service was just as bad as a pillow with no cold side. It was slow, didn’t care, and often avoided things. So basically this restaurant is as bad as a dead...

Update: Eerlijk is eerlijk. Mijn review hierboven was nogal negatief.

We zullen blijven komen.

Beautiful spot on the Markt for people watching. Good selection of beers and wines. Both are very good. Great selection for brunch, lunch or snack. I had the "BEATRIX CLUB SANDWICH". It's a clubsandwich on whole wheat bread, with chicken, bacon and creme cheese. Delicious :-) My husband had the "SATÉ WILLEM III’ VAN ‘TANTE DOOR", that's chicken satay, with prawn crackers and fries. On a sunny day you can sit here all afternoon, watching people go by, enjoying the sun and enjoying lovely food and drinks.....

Lovely place in the heart of Delft! The name is translated as King's House and it really is! Portraits of Royal Family on the walls. Cosy place with good coffee (and look on photos what they do with it!) and delicious appeltaart (classic Dutch apple pie). We were with our cat (yes, they are pets friendly!) and they drawn different cats on our coffees! :-) We really loved this place and definitely will visit again being in Delft!
