All the food is premade, the meat is overly processed, meat softener and glutamate everywhere, the meat in noodles, bibimbap, yakirori, is preecooked.. boiled, they just heat it...
You order yakitori, and is not just that they put a ton of "soy sauce" (they call is japanese soy sauce, it isn't) to make it way too salty (covering it whole), the wooden stick in which they put the meat was almost frozen, it was just heated in a microwave and barely warm! That's not a yakitori! Really how hard is to stick three pieces of meat in a stick and put it the fire? That shows how much do they care of what they serve.
You order a bibimbap, and is not only thay they don't put the korean red paste and kimchi if you don't ask for it (paying 4eur more only for that..), the bowl is just white rice in the bottom, with the preecooked meat, canned corn, canned soy sprouts and carrot...
They offer the bibimbap as their main thing, of course! the food in the bowl doesn't cost them more than 1eur and check the price.. They don't even have fume extractors in the room, putting all the tables close together, even if they have a lot of empty space, and they make people be cramped, so the waiters have it easier.. Everywhere smells of the smoke of the sauce in the hot bowls burning and the meats in the hot stones, all your clothes will smell of it.
The soup in the noodles is made just with powder, probably some ajinomoto chicken/meat soup powder.
This isn't any asian-european fusion, i cook that myself and have lived in asia, this is a money grab joke.
The whole place doesn't make sense, you can't stay in the first floor because is just for take away, but when you approach the restaurant from outside there isn't any indication of that.
Just go to woensel and grab anything in the asian supermarkets .. will be way better, at least they list the...
Read moreOn first impression, this restaurant is highly recommended when you're in Eindhoven. AFAIK this is the only Asian restaurant around here that has Korean Bibimbap (stone bowl with meat and vegetables) and hot noodle bowl.
The beef bibimbap is good. The chicken bibimbap was meh. I would order beef next time. The sushi was also delicious, and served together with the wakame salad was a good combination. Try their homemade Iced tea! It's also very nice!
To call for service, they have a small lamp on the table. Turn in over and its light turns red to call attention. When the wait staff sees it, they will come over.
We were there on a Saturday, just before 17:30 and we narrowly avoided the dinner crowd. Service was great and within 10 mins we already received our food. If you arrive along with the crowd, it can take half hour or more before you can get a table.
It's not possible to reserve a table if your party is less than 10 people.
Like most popular eats in Eindhoven (Downtown Gourment Market, Happy Italy) they do not accept cash. So watch out if you're a tourist, make sure you have a pin-card - not sure if they accept credit card though.
Staff speaks English pretty well, some actually do not speak Dutch - which is not a problem because there's a lot of expats in...
Read moreTodays visit is my second visit but first since the reopening after the lockdown . We went in for lunch. Staffs were friendly, but protocol has changed quite a bit, understandably. Guests are instructed to clean their hands with with alcohol at the entrance before being seated. After being seated we were presented with a mandatory questionmaire to track and trace spread of infection. Then, we were instructed to use the menu online on our smartphones using the QR code. Quality of food remained the same as my first visit. Service was quite prompt but servers were not wearing gloves, nor facemasks and also not maintaining any distance ! Even in the absence of cutlery when requested for addition the waiter brought in one piece and just handed it and not present it on a plate! This waiter too was not wearing gloves nor a facemask. It seems like the hospitality industry they were interested in the revenue rather than the hygiene and safety of the guests. What a shame that they fail to realise that without the guests they have no business...
