Average burguers and average hot dogs. Mostly industrialized beers. But the worst is the inherently hypocritical staff working at the Eindhoven’s Markt location. They will act kind when you are a customer BUT over the last 3 months I have been constantly asking them, as politely as it is possible, to not drag the furniture when they clean after 22:30 since I live in one of the apartments above this location. They simply do not care. As I write this, it is 23:21, I have to be up at 06:00 for work; and I know that calling them to request they stop dragging the furniture is, simply stated, a futile effort. Oh! And here’s the worst: The first time I called them about this, the person who I assume is the manager, told me they were not doing it because it is in the employee rule book not to do so, because they would otherwise damage the furniture!!! So?!?!? How they keep doing it every single night?!?!? Oh! Last time I called them? The person who picked up the phone literally asked me what were they supposed to do, since they had to clean! My answer? Lift the damm chairs off the ground! This is a straightforward example of an establishment which contributes to absolutely nothing to its surrounding, except for spitting average food at...
Read moreThis was my first and last visit to this catering establishment. At first it was strange why there were no cash registers for ordering in the hall, but only a live queue. Then it turns out there is an application through which you can order, but I just pass by and want to buy food, and not bother with downloading the application, entering my personal data, card, etc. Okay, then there was a long queue in the hall because there was a problem with the cash register. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger for 14 Euros, fries and a drink, in total it cost me 24 Euros. To my surprise, the burger was the size of a cheap burger at McDonald's for 2 €, but not a burger for 24 Euros. Two cutlets were completely made of ground cartilage with fat ... terrible taste and execution. In the photo you can see what the dish looks like after it has just been cooked. As if I put it under the mattress and only took it out after yesterday's party. The hand-cut potatoes that were touted in the advert looked like they were leftovers from yesterday's shift. The place itself is noisy. People are constantly coming in and looking for leftovers on the tables, which makes me feel like I'm in a homeless shelter, not...
Read moreDecent fast food establishment and definitely a good addition to Dutch fast food options. However, during my visit there were 2 issues that warrant a lower score.
The most important factor is the fact that even though we arrived early in the evening and there weren't that many customers, the tables were filled with crumbles and what I presume was oil or sauce from the previous customers sitting at our table (it had been vacant from the moment we arrived, so there had been time to clean it).
The second issue was that there were no Dutch speaking employees in the establishment. I have, as can be read from this review, no problem with speaking English, but as a customer I shouldn't have to change such simple things for the comfort of the employee, I am there to be served properly and in my country's native language.
As always in a Five Guys, food was on par and the limitless soft drinks with unique flavours are still what makes me want to come back. I hope my points of critique will be taken into consideration and when I return, I can change the...
