STR'EAT bars & kitchens (STREAT) — Restaurant in Eindhoven

I really was excited to find out about this concept on our doorstep, however was left somewhat disappointed :( the tables are too close to one another in the main dining areas. This coupled with having to collect own orders makes for an awkward shifting when order is ready. Comparing to let’s say Downtown in city center, you really can’t compare the two. The price to portion of food is not worth it. Quite expensive for what eventually arrives on your plate. When my order was ready after about 35 minute wait, I get to collect it only to find it was given to someone else? What is the purpose of having a pickup code if orders are just given to anyone asking. I hope...

I ate here a year ago and really enjoyed the chicken strips from the Syrian place. The atmosphere in the foodcourt then was also relaxed and clean. Unfortunately, I ate here again a few days ago only to find out the recipe of the chicken has changed completely (they were dry and kinda flavourless) and that they had halved the portions while keeping the same price. It's a shame because they used to be the best chicken strips I had ever tried ahhaha. Next to that, the tables are so close together that there is no place to pass through. The drinks are extremely expensive and the overall atmosphere of the place is messy. It's unfortunate. The positive is the friendly...

Beetje verdeeld over deze plek. De "foodhall" is verbeterd ten opzichte van wat er eerst lag, ten opzichte van de restaurantjes, persoonlijk vind ik ze beter, ook meer buitenlandse keuzes zoals Afrikaans/damascus etc..

De prijzen daarentegen zijn vrij hoog van haast alle restaurantjes die hier liggen. Of superkleine portie wat duur is of grotere portie maar duurder dan in bijvoorbeeld de downtown in het centrum.

Het is een hit and mis. Vandaar 3 sterren, beetje in het midden. Niet goed.. niet slecht.

Jammere is dat de restaurants via de QR code waar je moet bestellen, niet de gerechten offline halen die totaal niet op voorraad zijn. Zo bestelde ik een lamsspies broodje bij damascus.. betaald zelfs.. vervolgens kwam men naar mij toe om te zeggen dat ze dit product niet op voorraad hadden.. maar wel betaald. Moeten kiezen voor shoarma... jammer. Vooraf even offline halen bespaart frustratie bij klanten. En bij levering was het kip ipv shoarma? Uhhh..... De smaak kwam helaas van de geserveerde saus (mayo en ketchup?) Vlees weinig tot niet gekruid... en smaakte zoutloos en beetje weird..

Daarnaast nog bij de Afrikaan, lams samosa besteld, veel zout maar weinig smaak, weinig kruiden... ook hier haal je de smaak uit een NL chillisausje helaas. Er zijn zoveel lekkere echt Afrikaanse sauzen....

Daarnaast tevens bij Lotus een bapao besteld, want wat kan er nu misgaan met een bapao... nouja.. alles lol, het was een kleine in 4 gedeelde niet gevulde bapao met erbij een mayo-sambal saus... weer de saus.. jammer

Jammer dat je niet kunt doorlopen naar de brouwerij die er ook ligt.. of vanuit de brouwerij een bestelling kunt plaatsen in 1 van de in de foodhall (zelfde hal) gelegen...
