Visited Eindhoven to celebrate my bestfriend's birthday with 5 other people. The food was amazing, but the treatment we got from one of the waitresses was horrible.
We were initially greeted by a very sweet lady who even offered to put a candle on our birthday cake. But then when the other waitress started serving us, she was so unfriendly and snobby. As she 'served' us, she basically just left everything at one side of the table and made us do everything by ourselves.
By the time the birthday cake was served, we asked where the candle was, and she frowned and said "we don't have candles". Well, sorry for her but the other table just had candles, so we demanded to be treated the same. She just left when she realized we knew they have candles.
Even when she started cleaning up, she was so impolite and told us (not even as a request) to pass us the glasses, plates, utensils, etc.
Overall, nice food, but the service was so unfriendly. Quite disappointing birthday celebration. Maybe if other waiter/waitress served us, it would have...
Read moreA couple of years ago Mood was my place to go for sushi, and it is a pity to see how it changed lately. I had a bad experience 2/3 months ago, and decided to try again. Same story unfortunately. Service is chaotic (they continuously forget to bring stuff you ordered, plates, wine, continuously asking if you want to add more items to your order). We had an issue with the booking (I didn’t notice it was not confirmed) and the attitude was “you have to follow the rules” type of attitude… instead of looking up for a free table. Which was found at the end (…unfortunately). Food wise, the sushi became boring. I used to go with my partner for special occasions (this or the one at the city center). But quality went definitely down, size went down, the chaotic service makes the dining experience cumbersome and not relaxing.
Don’t get me wrong, one can still have decent food. But quality/price ratio is off in my opinion. The fancy-ness is gone and can be found only in the look...
Read moreNEVER Again! One Star for the background music only. The restaurant was less than half full when we had arrived. A party of three. Our table was located in the centre of the restaurant where waiting staff would have to pass by therefore, in plain view. Mood restaurant Strijp-S can certainly improve on several points: A lukewarm friendly welcome by the front-of-restaurant staff. We were handed a menu at the time of being seated (no drinks requested); the waiting time was 20 min before a waitress came by to take our orders (we had to remind her to take our order for drinks.) 60 min waiting time, even after enquiring and, 30 min later STILL nothing brought to our table. The response from the waitress at the cashdesk was, a raised voice of indignation towards one in our party when, he told that our group were leaving the restaurant and never to return. Visit this restaurant if you are happy to receive less than average...
