Lust — Restaurant in Groningen

From the outside, a very nice and hipster looking place. The service was friendly, but very slow. They messed up our order and were less friendly when we complained.

The portion size was relatively small and the food was randomly thrown together on different trays. We didn’t get slices of bread, instead just small random pieces of bread. The coleslaw from the Indonesian plate was NOT coleslaw. They need to look up a recipe because coleslaw is a lot more than carrot and cucumber. The banana bread was dry and slightly burned.

Finally, we were not once asked whether we wanted to drink anything else or if the food was okay. No one cleaned the table when we sat down or got plates from our table when we were done eating.

Had to wait for more than 30 min for our lunch. Had a veggie hamburger that was good, though the tomatoes weren’t fresh and eggplant was raw, thus inedible. My friend had a wrap that was tasteless so she didn’t eat it. Very slow though friendly service. Lust is great for vegans wanting some hearty burgers and fries! The ingredients are delicious and the different burger toppings imaginative and fitting! Moreover the owners organize many events often in collaboration with students and artists in town, a great concept to keep the culture alive and support the people involved in these projects. They also host second hand events and pub quizzes so there is truly something for everyone...
