Nice cozy corner cafe in the center of Haarlem. They have unique dishes and healthy options but not a very extensive menu. Also they serve breakfast all day - bonus!! I had the Mango Hummus open sandwhich with avacado and salad. Fresh ingredients, great bread I really liked it. A nice light lunch. I tried this rasberry drink from Belvoir really yummy I'd recommend it! My brunch companions all ordered the smoked salmon open sandwich with quinoa, beans and creamcheese. They didn't enjoy theres as much as I liked mine - perhaps too healthy for this particular crowd :) We all shared vegetarian bitterballen - there were 3 different flavors but these weren't a big hit. We only really liked 1 flavor unfortunately don't know which one it was! The staff were really friendly at this place. It was a super warm day very crowded but they still had good energy and were upbeat. Appreciated that they informed us before hand that there'd be a longer wait due to the busyness. I'd...

This is a cute little secret in the centre of Haarlem. they serve breakfast and lunch foods such as overnight oats, salads, toasts and interesting desserts too! they focus on incorporating not only healthy but fun and colorful too. the local follows their motion with floral decorations which enhance the atmosphere. all the servers were extremely friendly and well mannered. they were also prepared to accommodate clients depending on the weather. be ware, on sunday the place gets extremely packed. have patience and respect for the workers. we tried the poached eggs toast (add on feta), the pumpkin soup, the avocado fries and the apple pie. the avocado fries were not oily at all, the eggs were poached to perfection, and the pumpkin soup was warm and soothing. we had to order to spicy mayo twice by how good it was. if you’re ever in haarlem and need a place for lunch in the centre make...
Read moreNice first experience, rather unpleasant second experience hence the 2* rating. Came by the place around 16:20 on a weekday (lights inside were already off, closing time should have been 17:00). We asked if we could still have a quick coffee and cake; the waiter made an awkwardly long pause and curtly replied: 'outside, inside closed'. Rather unwelcoming frankly. We had family visiting us from abroad, and we specifically took them here - only to receive such cold treatment. Honestly, shameful. Cakes are good, but we sat outside in the chilly weather with the waiter constantly putting stuff away around us, and making us feel like he was doing us a huge favour, as if we were almost imposing. Don't feel like coming back here. Learn to treat your customers with respect, that attitude doen't match this...
