It's a cute little place, loved the vibe and food was good. Staff was helpful and friendly 🙂. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of my meal, so i have no other choice than to go back there for another delicious scone and tea respite😊. My initial thoughts when I received my order was thats not a scone lol. It was light brown and kinda rectangular, But I tired it and it was quite good they took something really British and gave it a Dutch spin by making it with "Speculaas kruiden" which is gingerbread spices. I think the lemon curd goes really well with this, not so much the clotted creme but that's my opinion. They do give a decent amount of both 😉. Had mine with a lovely cup of Earl Grey. I do appreciate that it's loose tea and not from a tea bag. In case you couldn't tell I loved this place!

It’s a nice restaurant with a perfect location, especially when the weather is good you can enjoy your food in the sun on the market place with a view of the old cathedral. The first time I went there, I wanted to try their high tea. It was around 4:20pm and they said that it was too late as the kitchen was already closed. It was a pity as I had really been looking forward to that so I would recommend to book that in advance or just get there a bit earlier. The second time I went there, I had a vegan salad which was very good. It took some time though and I had to catch my train so I was a bit in a hurry to finish it in the end.

Anne&Max is known for their cozy living room coffee place, but this particular location gets pretty crowded, especially in the weekend. Don't get me wrong, I love the cozy home-like atmosphere, but the tables can be placed a little farther apart to give everyone some personal space. Every dish of them I tried was pretty tasty. Their 'bacon' made of coconut stays my favorite though! The coffee tastes of good quality, and it's actually the first restaurant I went were I didn't pay extra for oat milk, Thank you :) !!

The table are in a beautiful setting right on the Grote Market which was nice - but spoiler alert, that’s about it I have in terms of nice things about this place. There’s no table service initially. You have to scan a QR code and place your order online. So we did that - thinking at least that’s going to be efficient and quick. After even asking a waiter who was bringing food to another table about our order, nobody checked on it and he answered rudely that they’re busy. We sat there for round about 45 minutes, receiving only the banana bread (which didn’t even taste that great). No coffees, no cake, Nobody checked on us as customers as a follow-up. I then went inside, the girls at the bar apologized and said they were overwhelmed by the crowd - there were still 30% of the tables outside free so I don’t even want to know what it looks like when there’re really busy. We left after-all without consuming any drinks or cake. Very...
