Cafe de Paris — Restaurant in Haarlem

Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant!! My family and I loved it so much that we came twice on our recent visit to Haarlem. We ate outside both times and had a lovely experience watching the city go about its evening. The food and drinks were also both exceptional. Lastly, the service at this restaurant was really stellar. I celebrated a birthday here and they made it so so special. I’m didn’t catch whether the man is the owner or the manager, but he really deserves a special mention. He was so patient and kind with our special requests and questions about the menu. I would give this place 10 stars...

After a long and busy day in Amsterdam we took the train back to Haarlem near our hotel. No idea where to eat and it was getting late. We came across this restaurant and glad we did.

The service was friendly and attentive and the food exceeded our expectations. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals.

Na een druk dagje in Haarlem, waar het wemelde van de toeristen wilden we even weg uit die drukte naar een wat rustigere plek om te dineren. Wat fijn dat we net uit het centrum Café de Paris vonden! Super gezellig terras aan de straatkant, ook hier was het vol maar gezellig vol en nog net een plekje voor twee. Helaas was de 'daghap' al op (tournedos van zalm en kabeljauw met garnaaltjes etc) maar we waren allebei blij dat we de sliptong hebben genomen. Er staat een goede kok. We hebben allebei veel ervaring in de horeca, zelf een restaurant gehad ooit in Haarlem, en deze kok bakt sliptong op de perfecte manier. Heerlijke groene asperges erbij en subtiel sausje. Wat het helemaal had afgemaakt was een klein gekookt aardappeltje erbij i.p.v. de standaard patatjes. Wijn was goed, en de bediening was echt voortreffelijk. Lief, vriendelijk, zorgzaam. Kortom, een heel fijn adresje voor een gezellige leuke en lekkere avond uit. Parkeren kun je hier makkelijker dan dichter naar het centrum toe. Je kunt reserveren, is waarschijnlijk noodzakelijk op de vrij- zater- en zondag. Van binnen is het ook mooi geworden, de serveerster vertelde dat het sinds een half jaar weer open is, maar Café de Paris zit er al sinds 1973. Mooie roots, moderne...
