Jetties — Restaurant in Haarlem

I used walk past this place on my way to Haarlem station and always wanted to visit this place.

We visited Jetties finally and it didn't let us down. They have good vegan options . We ordered Veggie junk food burger and Veggie Pasta.

Veggie junk food burger was super tasty and stomach filling. It is served with pita bread instead of regular bread / bun which makes the burger more enjoyable. Chickpea patties and fried onion patties are just delicious

Veggie Pasta was good. I never had had egg plant in pasta before, I wasn't sure it would taste good. But it didn't disappoint. My husband loved the combination of egg plant in pasta.

Prices are affordable and lady behind the Kassa is friendly...

Service * and food *. I've been waiting for 10 min to be attended, the waiter totally ignore me (he begun to clean the cutlery), only to realize that you have to order at the bar. The sign is not visible cause it is not placed on the right spot. There are menus on the tables and that is also misleading. You can't pay cash with bigger bill, only by card. The price versus quality is not adequate. You can get the similar soup at La place for 5€. Few weeks ago I ate pumpkin soup in Zandvoort that costs 7,50€ but that was on other level, totally worth the price, so delicious and with great plate...

Would have got 4* if it hadn't been for the terrible service. It was a quiet Monday lunch-time and we had to wait over 20mins for a sandwich. The guy at the cash register snapped at me for picking up a glass from the rows of glasses centimeters behind the juice I selected. When the buzzer went for me to finally collect my food another customer was spitting food out of his mouth and storming to the counter because he'd ordered a cheese omelette....NOT with ham as he was vegetarian. However..... the food was delicious, if over-priced. Service wise Jetties needs to seriously...
