I've had my wedding reception here, in the back, which is like a solarium and seems to double as a place for meetings. With catering, the solarium seems to accomodate about fourty people and is cozy, bordering on cramped. The table service is quite good and we made a deal for a small lunch, which was quite satisfactory. We also placed an order with "Van der Zoete", who usually provide the pastries here so we had a spectacular wedding cake. Because they have several specialty beers here, we also enjoyed those. Everything went smoothly and satisfactory. The staff was kind enough to accommodate our requests. The only point of improvement is the number of staff, which was a little short since it was a sunny day and the terrace was becoming crowded, which tends to happen due to its prime placement at the Grote Markt.

We visited this place a couple of times a forehand and after informing the kitchen through the staff, that my wife was pregnant, it was taken into account with our orders, so that's a really big plus! While we mostly sat inside, the terrace tends to get quite crowded and as you can gather, staff can get a bit stretched. In my opinion, the quality of what you order doesn't tend to suffer (so the kitchen seems to keep it under controle) although placing your order and getting your order can take a...

Worst hamburger ever! Service of low quality. We asked for 4 hamburgers and just 1 one well done. They all came over cooked and really hard to cut! We told our waitress and they promptly gave us a substitute only thing that gives them 2 stars. Unfortunately even medium rare it was clear that the meat was of bad quality ( possibly frozen old meat). We couldn’t understand why such poor quality and how they could have good reviews... see picture of weird hamburger meat. In the end we all left without desert. Edit: I have removed photos of the hamburger in respect to the management as they also confirmed that it was not up to their quality standards. And in understanding of that hopefully this is a learning lesson to them. Unfortunately your staff was not at all helpful or seamed to even care that we were badly served... Take care of your staff and your customers! Just because we do not speak Dutch doesn't mean that we are a 1 time tourist visit. We do live more or less nearby, but I will not step foot in your restaurant again as it was by far one of the worst service and dinner experience I ever had. I hope you...

Discover a delectable selection of cheese and charcuterie options at this establishment. Indulge in the creamy and flavorful Cabri d'Ici, the rich and organic Kaas van Eigen Schapen van Kaashuis Tromp, or the soft and mold-rind Chaource AOP.

For a unique twist, try the Tomme de Phébus with its creamy and fruity aromas or the Oro Rosso, a blue cheese soaked in wine. Pair these exquisite cheeses with their assortment of charcuterie, including the savory Mortadella Pistache, the aromatic Lardo di Colonnata, or the bold Venkel Salami. Don't miss out on the Schiacciato Picante with its spicy kick or the slow-cooked and smoked Pastrami. Complete your experience with their nut-raisin bread. Explore the flavors and origins of these culinary delights from France, Italy, and the Netherlands. Really recommended! Beer was...

This place is so classy I don’t know where to begin. The plastic red rose petals strewn about the tables and floor? The special Valentines menu, written in strawberry red cursive font on a white background? The plastic, faux jungle foliage covering the walls? But the decor was nothing compared to food! We started with a carpaccio smothered in thick mayonnaise and shared the Venison steak, which was a fantastic mush of what looked and felt like a random collection of left-over vegetables from last week, blended with what looked like some sort of minced meat. Make sure to make reservations in advance as the teenage crowd is super excited about this romantic spot in Haarlem.

During our visit to Amsterdam last week, we decided to take this short train ride to Haarlem. We had researched restaurants before our trip and Fortuyn had a great menu and very good reviews. We are so glad we dined at Fortuyn for lunch. We had a prime table overlooking the Main Square with a view of the Town Hall. Service was excellent and you just can't beat the view. We ordered Pomodorisoep Fortuyn, a very delicious tomato soup, and the Fortuyn Burger which included a delicious bbq sauce. They have a nice list of wines by the glass and cocktails. We highly recommend Fortuyn if visiting Haarlem.

The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. It would just be nice to know upfront when food orders take longer than usual due to a large group. My Veal Burger was nice, but not more. The meat was seasoned very well but slightly on the dry side. Bun and salad didn’t match, so that the overall experience was rather underwhelming. No doubt about the individual quality but the combo didn’t work. The place is cramped and staff constantly bumped into the legs of my chair, not so nice... hence the their overall 3 star experience
