Had an excellent Dutch meal here this evening. They were friendly and attentive. They were very busy when we arrived and warned us that although they had a table they wouldn't be able to serve us for 45 min. Despite that we didn't feel neglected during the wait and it was well worth it - the food was excellent. Two of our party had the Sea Wolf - which we'd never tried before and it was superb, we also had the chicken soup, the meatballs and the sausages all of which were excellent. All washed down with an interesting Dutch red wine (I don't think I've ever had a Dutch wine before - it wasn't half bad).
We were particularly impressed that they noticed that the 10 year old who was with us was flagging and went out of their way to encourage him
All together a great evening at a restaurant which...

The beer from Amsterdam monetary was nice...

It turned out to be a great match with the mussels, which were well cooked, full of buttery flavor, and had a hint of parsley. Dutch food prepared with care and a surprisingly healthy touch. I finished off with a slice of apple pie, that pie crust really...
