Café & Restaurant De Eendracht Hilversum — Restaurant in Hilversum

We booked the “righthand serre” after De Eendracht advised us this space in their restaurant. This was for a birthday celebration dinner with 13 dear friends at May 13th 2023. However when we arrived in “our” space a Disco/ DJ party was going on in the “righthand serre” ; untill midnight and we were seated -different than as was agreed- at 5 (!) meters distance of the music boxes and very very loud music. The staff didnt help us with a better, more distant table, and only after we complained another table was prepared and we could be seated there only after the main dish. De Eendracht never informed us upfront about the disco/dj party and we are very much unhappy with this treatment. We told this to the staff the same evening as well. We think De Eendracht can be a nice place and this came as a total surprise. Normaly the staff and value for money is all okay, but this time it was realy very bad. We live in Hilversum nearby De Eendracht and eat there regularly. So we can not understand why and how this could...

Terrible service. If you want to pay a lot of money to be ignored, wait for an hour four your main dish with finished entree plates in front of you, and be sorrounded by flies is this The place to be! We got some bread as a starter with some dip sauces, later we had our entree, the waitress left the dip sause on our table. A rich looking man sat on the table next to ours and all the atention went to him and we became history. After an hour of waiting for the main dish I had to ask the waitress to please take the plates of the entree with her and also the dips op the bread we had an hour ago because there were more than 50 flies sorrounding us! When I went to pay I wanted to complain to the owner but she was still flirting with the rich looking man. I told the waitress I would never come back and got as answer: oh well, that...

Top Personeel, maar het eten is zwaar achteruitgegaan het afgelopen jaar. De zalm starter is heerlijk, maar in plaats van een krokante toastje (van vorig jaar) hebben ze nu een vieze slappe pannenkoek eronder gestopt. De Carpaccio is bijna onzichtbaar dun geworden en aangevuld met goedkope groenten. De (medium) Entrecote was taai, zeker meteen uit de koelkast in de pan...en zonder tijd om te rusten in de jus. De mee geserveerde groenten waren vroeger al denté, maar nu waren de wortels gewoon hard. Mijn vrouw was was zeer blij met haar geitenkaas starter. We wisten dat het aardappelpuree minder was (droog), dus hebben we extra frietjes besteld, maar die komen ongezouten en met een zure mayo die meer op slasaus lijkt. Mocht je comfortabel willen zitten voor een paar uur, raad ik je af om in de houte stoelen te zitten. Een kerkbankje heeft meer demping. Dit is 35,- voor een 3 gangen menu kwaliteit in een bruin café-achtige sfeer, en niet €50-60. Sorry, maar voor een borrel op een zonnige avond is het een heerlijke plek, maar niet meer om te eten met je familie.

Edit: reactie wordt gewaardeerd, maar het is niet een kweatie van "smaken verschillen", want alle 5 mensen vonden het echt minder. We hebben zelfs het toetje daarom overgeslagen en zijn we een softijsje gaan halen. Wij bezoeken jullie al jaren en de laatste paar keer is echt een stuk minder geweest, terwijl de prijzen stijgen. Nogmaals, een paar starters, de snacks en borrels zijn top....maar voor Diner komt het...
