One sentence: I wish Lazy Lemon was in my city! 😭
I recently had the pleasure of having a lunch at Lazy Lemon in Leeuwarden, and I must say, it was an experience that left a lasting impression. This place now will stay in my heart for a long time
From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the stylish ambiance that perfectly complemented the restaurant’s name. Lemons were thoughtfully incorporated into the decor in a way that felt anything but “lazy.” Every detail seemed carefully considered, from the lemon-themed touches throughout the space to the quirky bottle of lemon juice displayed on a decorative bike upstairs. The atmosphere was both vibrant and welcoming, making it a joy to be there.
Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive and efficient, managing to be quick without making us feel rushed. It’s clear that they’re experienced in handling a full house while maintaining a high level of service.
Now, onto the highlight of the day — the food. I was particularly impressed with the Italiaanse Pinsa’s Kip. It was a dish I had never tried before, and it was nothing short of heavenly. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was incredibly satisfying. For two people, the portion was more than generous.
The Heavenly Delight Pancakes were another standout. They were almost too beautiful to eat, and I appreciated that they weren’t overly sweet or heavy. The combination of pancakes with fresh fruit gave them a refreshing quality that’s rare for baked goods. It’s a dish that both looks and tastes delightful.
Given that it was a busy Saturday, the staff did an admirable job keeping the place clean. Despite the crowd, everything was well-maintained, and it was clear that the team was doing their best to keep up with the rush.
The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. I felt that every euro spent was well worth it.
Without a doubt, I would recommend Lazy Lemon to anyone visiting Leeuwarden — or even those who need a reason to visit!
This place is definitely a highlight, and I’m already looking for excuses to return to the city just to dine here again. It’s a gem that I’m thrilled to...

Overall Experience: We found this place while searching for a good Vegetarian/Vegan options during our short visit to Leeuwarden. We there went for lunch. The ambience was very cool, very spacious. There was a special section on the first floor for small kids to play, lot of board games for adults as well. The Menu was diverse. We ordered the following: Beet Burger (Vegetarian) - A delicious burger with sweet potato fries on the side. Quantity was bit less.
Heavenly Delight - the name justifies the dish. 3 nice small pancakes loaded with fresh fruits, dry fruits, chocolate chips.
Chop it up Pancakes - This was a plateful of yummy pancakes with juicy chicken and chopped vegetables.
Lazy Lamb Burger - The lamb patty was delicious. served with potato fries and mayonnaise. The size was bit small.
In the Club sandwich - The sandwich was good, only thing was that the tomatoes were big in size.
In the end we ordered the Cake of the day which was supposedly a Pistachio cake, but found it as basic cake. Maybe we had big expectations based on the food.
Overall it was great experience, had yummy food and menu was not too heavy on the pocket. Will definitely visit this place when I come to...
Read moreA huge disappointment. I‘ve been here before and the lunch food was always good, but the quality declined drastically. Ordered a matcha latte which was extremely bitter. We asked really nicely if we can return it. (Thinking that if we only took one zip we would not have to pay for it). We also ordered 2 beef onion burgers with gluten free bun for 16,50 p.p. What arrived was a really poor looking plate. The burger only consisted of the bread, a beef patty that was completely raw inside, 3 soggy salad leaves, a slice of cheese and a tiny pump of curry Mayo. It was therefore really dry and did not taste fresh at all. The onion that is part of the burger‘s name was also nowhere to be found. Fries were mostly unsalted and came with a small portion curry mayonnaise. The waitress was nice tho. However, we were a little shocked when she made us pay for the matcha latte that we didn’t drink at all. In most restaurants it is completely normal to not pay for this then or to at least get offered an alternative. All in all, the biggest disappointment ever, we paid almost 50€ for some really poor food. Not going...
