Ipanema — Restaurant in Maastricht

Good tomato soup with a mediocre caprese tosti, generally a nice atmosphere. However, there is a lady serving that's exceptionally rude and comes across as mildly racist for following reasons: We sit down, I take out my water bottle, she comes running, with really weird gestures, almost yelling "it's forbidden to drink your own water, you have to order tap and pay 75 cents for a glass". A rule is a rule (which is not written anywhere, still weird since we order food as well, but ok), fine; but the attitude? We put on our coats to go out for smoking (one person is still sitting at the table, so not even everyone is "leaving"), she comes running again, half-shouting "Have you paid already?". I will never set foot here for sure and am taking it onto myself to warn...

During our visit to the brilliant Bonnefanten museum on Wednesday we took a break at Ipanema's. Although the vlaai and drinks were delicious, we feel the members of staff in particular deserve a mention. Super friendly, wonderful sense of humor and able to cope in a crisis (as a member of staff was suddenly feeling unwell). Hats...

Great place for parties, the lockers are very handy. Also very nice is the outside area. Spacious, and especially in the summer nice. The indoor area is large enough, though the corridor that leads to the bigger round room is a bit of a bottleneck at times. Shouldnt be a...
