This was a surprise hit of a restaurant, we needed something close to our hotel fairly last minute. It quickly cemented itself as one of our fave dinner experiences from a 2 week+ trip. It's warm and inviting and packed with Italians and friends of the restaurant as well as many locals.
We stuffed ourselves with fresh tagliatelle pesto, tender beef, warm bread and herby butter, juicy prosciutto melon and melt in your mouth pillowy tiramisu. Not only was every dish plentiful and incredibly well made, the service was impeccable. Our waiter was funny, gracious and anticipated every need. The standout was when a friend had to take an emergency call and her food had all cooled by the time she got back. Without any prompting, the waiter whisked away her cold soup and brought her a fresh hot bowl. I've never seen that before and we all bravoed.
The owner (from Sardinia!) was also there, greeting folks and enjoying his wine. You can tell everyone is treated well and the quality shows across the board. Make this a must stop when you're...
Read moreNormally we enjoy going to Quattro Mori, but this time the service was terrible. Took 30 minutes to order drinks. Food arrived quite sometime later (which honestly, understandable when its busy, which it was) however, finally when the food arrived, my lasagna had no meat in it. My partners calzone had all these extra ingredients (onions, paprika & olives) in it which he did not order and was super chewy. We both did not end up eating our food. When finally one of the servers came up to us and i had a chance to ask about the lack of meat in my lasagna, he said “you should have mentioned it earlier” to which i replied “how would i when we have been ignored for 40 minutes?”. It then took another 30 minutes of being ignored for us to finally get the bill even though we tried multiple times to flag them down. Overall terrible experience. Will not be returning back to...
Read moreInterior design looks like it should be cheaper than it is. Vibe is good however with Italians working there and great service.
The problem is the food quality. Very average to poor quality. Poor quality pasta and the sauces as also not right and the risotto is not Italian at least not right. Pizza was not worth trying again, but I might just to be sure.
I mean a restaurant is about the food first. I could do without good decor or even tolerate bad service if the food was amazing. The food quality is not worth going again even at cheaper prices.
With a couple of appetizers and water and a “cheap” bottle of wine price was 30-40 per person.
sorry nothing photogenic enough...
