It was impossible to catch the attention of a waiter to get the menu. My friend got up and found a menu and as soon as we opened it they came to take our order. We asked for 5 minutes. We couldn’t get anyone for the next 15 minutes. My friend asked for ginger tea and asked if they could wash it or peel it because she is pregnant. The waiter looked at her like she is crazy and said “No, it is what it is”. (We had no problem with this request in other Maastricht cafés) When we asked for the bill, we waited another 15 minutes and finally I got ip and went to pay inside. One of the kids was playing on his phone and chatting with the girl behind the bar and when I asked can we pay or what, he just asked his colleague to help me.
