Café de Bóbbel — Restaurant in Maastricht

Had dinner here on 10 Oct with our daughter who was attending Maastricht Univ. for her fall semester. Despite the wonderful reviews and beautiful ambiance of Cafe de Bobbel, our experience was disappointing. Our server was rude and condescending. When taking my husband's order she made him repeat his order 3 times as she didn't understand his order for "Chauteaubriand". So he finally asked her how she says it (pointing to the dish on the menu), and she said "Chauteaubriand". Same pronunciation as him. Odd. Great dining venue in the heart of Maastricht. Don't know who came up with the name....maybe a naughty mind? It was very hard to find an unoccupied table here at Maastricht during King’s Day but we managed to get a table at Café de Bóbbel (which was a huge surprise as I questioned how this great place isn’t full during this Saturday evening:) Mussels are the absolute-must-have! Also, you must order their bouillabaisse, which was full of flavours🍲 Additionally, we order an amazing steak tartare and a portion of spaghetti with truffles. Both meals were delicious!
