I regularly order from Domino’s Vianen and have always been impressed by their professionalism and service. However, today I had an awful experience with Domino’s Nieuwegein. Since Vianen opens later in the day, we picked up our order from Nieuwegein, and to my shock, they gave us the wrong order. I ordered two Veggie Subs, and all our other orders were vegetarian as well, but they gave us Meatball Subs!!!!!!!!
This is completely unacceptable for someone who strictly eats vegetarian.
When I called to report the mistake, the staff member didn’t even let me finish explaining the problem before cutting me off and saying he would call his manager. After waiting 5-10 minutes on hold, the same person came back and admitted no manager was involved—he was still the one handling the call! He gave no real solution and didn’t take responsibility for the error!!!! And to top it all off, no one apologized for this mix-up!
As a vegetarian, this is incredibly frustrating. Food choices are personal, and mistakes like this could have serious consequences, especially for people with dietary restrictions or allergies. What’s worse is their attitude!!!!!!—it was completely uncalled for! I’m paying for my food and this is not the way you treat your customer what was that for????? Now, I’ll always have doubts about what they’re doing in the kitchen. I’m sorry, but you did wrong with that behavior, and it leaves me questioning everything. I will never order from Domino’s Nieuwegein again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
Update: When they replaced it with the Veggie Subz, the entire sub was drenched in harissa sauce to an overwhelming degree (which I didn’t ask for). This felt like an intentional move, especially since I've noticed similar complaints from others, particularly Indian or non-Dutch customers.
