I went here because my friend said we should go there despite my own reservations. I had no breakfast and since this was next to the offices of the submarine tour I had just taken, I acquiesced to his suggestion. The building is a open air building facing the yacht pier/cruise ship mooring of the island. If affords quite a nice view with the always welcome sea breeze coming in. I ordered the fresh catch of day platter ($24 US) with happened to be mahi mahi (dolphinfish) blackened with diced "salsa" and vegetable orzo pasta. Food was of decent sized portions. Fish was moist and the sides were pretty fresh. From what I can remember, the orzo was kind of tart. Items were served within 20 mins. This was on a Monday midday. I also had a flaming punch ($12 US) with was quite bit sweet. My friend likes the girly drinks. After eating I had the suspicion that the food was too perfect, yet nondescript. It took me a while to confirm this indeed was a chain resturant. In short its your typical tourist oriented restaurant in terms of pricing. Otherwise the food and service was good. I would recommend going on taco Tuesday to get a better value.

I waited to write my review after we went there a second time for taco Tuesdays. There are many good places to eat in Aruba but what make this stand it for me is that the quality was great both times we went there and there was no wait. Not to mention the prices are better than most places. First time, we went for lunch. If you are staying at the Marriott across the street, this is a very convenient place to go, as when the tide is high, the boat that takes you to flamingo island leaves right next to it. We shared a chicken burger with sweet potato fries and a salad and both were great. But we saw the sign for taco Tuesdays so we decided we would come back for that. The shrimp tacos are the best. They might be the most expensive taco from your options, but they are worth it. We also had the tres leches cake which is offered at every restaurant for dessert. I haven't tried it at the other places, but it was definitely worth getting here. Probably a place that we will visit again before we leave as the prices are great, the food is great quality and it is conveniently located across our hotel.

Instead of focusing solely on the food, let's delve into the delightful experience that unfolded at the restaurant. The meal itself was decent, but what truly shined was the exceptional service. Our waitress, whose friendly demeanor and attentiveness were unmatched, made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the table's location. Nestled right by the dock, we were offered a captivating window into the world of the fishermen. Witnessing their boats returning with their catches, the glistening fish unloaded onto the wooden planks, was a visual treat that transported us to a scene straight out of a charming seaside postcard. This aspect would undoubtedly be a source of fascination for any children present, sparking their curiosity about the ocean and the process of catching food. Adding to the delightful ambiance was a playful touch in my frozen drink. A tiny, whimsical mermaid bobbed merrily amidst the ice cubes, a detail that brought a smile to my face and perfectly encapsulated the lighthearted and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant.

Went here on a Saturday night before a parade was going to be coming down the main road right outside the restaurant so you’d think they would be staffed appropriately and it wasn’t very busy which should have been a warning sign. The ambiance was neat since it sits right by the ocean with boats docked. Staff was friendly but the wait time was RIDICULOUS. It took about 15 mins to even have our drink order taken and then we waited at least 30 mins if not longer, to get our drinks. The drinks came out in 3s so by the time the end of the table got their drinks the first part of the table needed a refill. We had to ask 3 for water for the kids. We were a group of 15 but that really didn’t appear to matter. The waitress apologized and said there was only one bartender. Seems weird for a Saturday night with an event. Our food actually started coming out before everyone had a drink. About an hour later when our food came nothing was cooked as ordered and the serving sizes were pathetic. I think I counted 10 fries on the plate next to me. Wish I would’ve taken a picture to share. One of the meals was missing part of the entree that was listed on the menu and the staff acted like it was no big deal “oh sorry, we ran out of that”. Umm...pretty sure you can’t just run out of things and apologize and still expect a happy customer who is willing to pay full price. I asked for a discount on that plate and they looked at me like I was nuts. We ended up sending the entire meal back and asked for a refund. The food was nothing worth going back for. I’ve never been so incredibly disappointed with service and wait time. Also, none of the bathroom stalls had and toilet paper. I can’t believe this place is still operating. Don’t waste your time and hard...

Going back and adding details now. We stopped by later one evening after a lot of restaurants were closing up. It was very nice they stay open later.

Got seated right away, and the service was fabulous. Ended up ordering chips and salsa, various seafood entrees, and one ordering tacos. All the food was terrific. All prices were reasonable and matched going rates compared with others.

When we were leaving, the kids had loved it so much they wanted t-shirts. They decided they wanted to see all 4 locations and get shirts.

The store was accidently left open, but was really closed. We explained that we were leaving the next day, and the girls really wanted to buy shirts from each location. The young lady said to wait, let her go talk with the manager. They opened the store just for us to buy 4 shirts. The entire time, the manager was super friendly and so had been everyone else.

Our family highly reccomeds checking this location out.

Unfortunately, the Key West location did not come close to Aruba for service or food. So they will only have shirts from the Aruba location for now. We may check out the other two locations eventually, but Key West put a damper on it. TBD

But if in Aruba, be sure to check this place out. Thumbs up all the...

There were 6 host and hostess sitting at a tble talking and laughing. Non of them acknowledged. Finally after 20 minutes of patiently waiting my daughter decided to go the bar and ask for assistance at which time she was told that someone will be right over. Another 10 minutes past before a black woman came over with blue jeans and gave us menus and apologized. She said she asked the others workers to take our orders but known of them budged and they were NOT on break. She took our orders and the food finally was delivered. The total time from sit down to food delivery was about 45 minutes. No the place was not busy. I wont say it was a race thing but more of a stereotypical culture thing about tipping. What they do not consider was I and my wife worked out way up on tips and know how hard it is. We love to tip those hard working people. Yes, I did leave the hostess whom I am assuming was the supervisor a tip (Only 20 dollars USD) but it would have been a lot more. I recommend this place trsin the staff on customer sevice and let them know that good tips depend on good service and there are quite few POC that worked outbway up on tips so we know how hard it is and go out our...
