First thing first, I’m aware of the fact that their dishes are not authentic, so I won’t compare them with the “real” ones and just judge them by how they tasted. The teriyaki lamb was incredibly dry and barely marinated. Unfortunately, the noodles underneath were overcooked and really greasy. Moreover, the dressing was supposed to have wasabi in it but that was not noticeable. The steak was layed on topped of fried soba. The noodles were a bit overcooked, but the taste was okay. The few pieces of aubergine and mushrooms as well as the noodles itself, however, were DRENCHED in oil. The beef on top was dry and not marinated well. The marinated egg on top was certainly not marinated (well) and was way overcooked. The Samla curry with chicken was mediocre but the best of the three. The spices as well as the coconut flavour were unfortunately not strong enough. The rice was cooked well though.
The service To make matters worse, the service was really slow. The curry came first, but the other two dishes arrived when my mum was almost finished with her meal. Our dishes were standing on the bar for quite some time so the noodles were already luke-warm and the meat was cold when they were finally served. One woman was very polite and nice but the other was kind of rude.

Read moreWhere to start.. this is the worst Wagamama I have been to. I have been three time and every time was just unpleasant.
Atmosphere It doesn't feel like a restaurant as much as it feels like a cantina. This is not the problem, however.
Service Service is mostly ok, yet they have never failed to either simply ignore us to the point we had to ask if we could order, forget to bring the drinks or cutlery. Some staff has been very nice and considerate, other staff was just terribly forgetful and didn't even try.
Food This is the worst part. The first time we went, the Katsus only had HALF the chicken / vegan meat substitute portion! We weren't sure if each Wagamama had their own policy as to platter interpretation, but we learned they either cheaped out or simply forgot. Anyhow, they stole half our meal. The second time, they were out of Katsu / Vegatsu, which was extreme disappointing given it is kind of their signature dish. The third time, the spicy Vegatsu was ok, but the regular Katsu was ineadible: The rice tasted like cardboard and the sauce, was, plain and flavorless.
All in all, for anyone who likes Wagamama, pick ANY Wagamama except the Roermond one as they have never failed to disappoint us - we will certainly not...
Read moreMy recent visit to this restaurant on June, 15th 2024. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I waited for 15 minutes at the entrance before finding a table myself. Once seated, I immediately asked the staff at the entrance if I could place my order right away. I was informed that a colleague would come to assist me shortly. Unfortunately, despite waiting for nearly 20 minutes, no one approached to take my order. I noticed that several waitstaff saw me but did not come to my table. In an attempt to get service, I called a waiter who appeared to be free at that moment. His initial reaction was to roll his eyes as he walked towards me, though he quickly changed his demeanor to be more pleasant. I asked him politely about the estimated time for the food, but his response was notably unkind and unprofessional. Feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied with the service, I decided to leave without ordering. I understand that busy periods can be stressful for staff, but I believe that all customers deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy. My experience left me feeling disappointed and undervalued...
