Kuub Coffee — Restaurant in Rotterdam

My first scepticism about Kuub was its location. My limited life experience says cafes situated at or near a place frequented by tourists are usually cater for non returning customers. However, many baristas around town have been recommending this place. In actual fact the Cube Houses are residentials.

My second scepticism was Kuub’s espresso machine. As the picture says, they don’t seem to be using a commercial machine (at least not when I was visiting). I thought, let’s do a pour over.

Tucked right in the middle of Rotterdam’s iconic Cube Houses, Kuub Coffee is a cozy little spot that instantly makes you feel at home. We stopped by for a matcha latte and a flat white—both were delicious. The matcha was smooth and not too sweet, and the flat white had that perfect creamy texture you hope for.
