Overall, the restaurant left an average impression. The interior is neat, and the service was polite, but I expected a bit more from the taste of the dishes.

The cakes I tried were not quite what I had hoped for — the cream didn’t bring back the nostalgic childhood flavor I was looking forward to. In the borscht, the potatoes and meat were cut into very large pieces, which made it more convenient to take them out and cut them first.

Today I visited this place during my lunchbreak. I ordered the dumplings (pork/beef minced meat) and Medovik honey cake. Both were delicious. It was my first time trying this cuisine and i enjoyed both dishes. The waitress (little sister of the owner) was really friendly and we had some nice small talk 💕 she told me that the mom of her brother-in-law made these cakes. So these cakes are handmade! Even if it was raining a little, we decided to sit outside, which was quite nice. I loved the Olivier salad. It looked simple, but I love the balance of flavors and texture. The potato vareniki was also good, but I think it lacked a little seasoning. The chicken Kiev came with a salad and nice and crispy exterior, but I think the meat is a bit overcooked and could use a little more seasoning.
