I was cycling though Rotterdam looking a brunch spot then stumbled across this restaurant. I liked the outdoor seating and the spaciousness of the decor inside - lots of natural light and huge windows. When I went the first time for lunch there were not many people in the restaurant, which can be a sign not to eat there. BUT I was super hungry. I was met with a warm and friendly reception and seated at the counter facing out to the street which is perfect for people watching as a solo traveller. The lunch meny was limited but perfect for me as a vegetarian - lots of options. I had the Penne rigate all'arrabbiata (vegan mogelijk) which was the perfect sized portion and came with a lovely warm peice of crusty bread for mopping up the sauce. There was another dish on the menu that I was thinking about so I returned the next day to try the Spaghetti alla chitarra Aglio Olio con Pistacchio which was equally tasty. Again the portion was a good size and came with bread. This time I arrived a little later than lunch so the menu was more extensive and there was a buzzing atmosphere. The same gentleman was serving me who was super friendly and welcoming. I would definitely eat here again next time I am in Rotterdam - affordable...

Spent a lovely evening on a couples date; great for easy, fun vibes.
The food was of great quality and perfect portions (you don't leave feeling too full); despite what you might read elsewhere, I find the prices were quite reasonable, nothing cost more that €16 on the menu. I had the lamb (#6), 🤤, melt in your mouth good!
They don't have an extensive wine list, choice of 3 whites and 3 reds but they do give some variety between the options- so can choose based on your taste and meal choice (price range about mid-20s for a bottle)
The service is decent. We had a little wait to get the attention so we could place our drink orders, but after that it was pretty good, attentive, answered all questions and made sure we were enjoying our meals.
The decor and set up is industrial style, high seating as well as traditional dining (inside and out).
Would I go again? For sure! And I'm...
Read moreThe food is okay, quite bland. Added a lot of salt, pepper, olive oil, and even balsamic vinegar to give it a kick. The bruschetta is standard, the bread is nicely toasted. The buratta was also fine, nothing special. The papardelle with deer were cooked very nicely al denté, but the flavor was lacking. The pasta with sausage was also very bland. Pana cotta was a bit too soft in texture and the caramel sauce gave it a stroopwafel taste, so if you like sweet things then it's nice. The canoli was fresh, it tasted good! The drinks are good. Overall for a place that specializes in pasta you'd expect more flavor, but maybe we have to try another one of the dishes. The pasta does come with nice warm bread which goes well with the olive oil, and the portions are a good size. (with appetizer, main and dessert I was full, if you just get the pasta you might...
