Good coffee. Good cheesecake.

I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the system is a bit confusing. At first I wasn't sure they have table service, so I waited at the cash register for awhile.

After we were ready to pay, we were told to pay downstairs. Again, I waited in front of the cash register until it's finally my turn and the person told me that paying for table is at another corner, which was totally not obvious.

In addition, they have card machine, but I was told they don't take Visa, so do have cash ready.

Lastly, when I ordered hot chocolate, I was asked if I wanted whipped cream and I said yes. I was surprised to later found out that the whipped cream cost 0.75euro. Whipped cream has its own entry under the hot drinks sections. I would appreciate a friendly reminder when I ordered as it may not be obvious that whipped cream for hot chocolate requires...

The cakes at Koekela are generally very tasty, and the staff is usually friendly. However, I was extremely disappointed with my recent experience. The cake I pre-ordered came pre-cut into slices, which completely ruined my plans to decorate it for a birthday celebration

When I spoke to the staff about it, one of the employees said I should have mentioned this preference in the notes section when placing the order. Unfortunately, she wasn’t willing to offer a replacement or any solution.

Koekela, please make it clear on your website that cakes are pre-sliced unless specified otherwise. Additionally, more flexibility and willingness to accommodate customers’ requests—such as checking whether a whole, uncut cake is available—would be greatly appreciated.

I've been here quite a few times over the years. Their products are very tasty, I would give it 5 stars.

For this kind of (fresh and 'honest') food, the price is reasonable. Especially considering they are at a pretty prime location, so they have high costs.

So: 5 stars for the products. And I give it 1 star for friendliness/service. Like I said, I have been here a few times and have never felt welcome.

You feel rushed (which I understand, but you can rush people in a friendly matter too) and if you ask a question (for instance: does this contain cinnamon), it seems like you just asked the dumbest question ever.
